No I don’t think it’s a good idea.
Quote Corm:
At the moment Paul keeps an eye on TRF (and other forums) as and when time allowsThat’s up to him,but why just link up with TRF? That smacks of favouritism to me & if he’s going to link up with one Forum he peruses from time to time why not the others? There’s nothing wrong with what he does now. I think status quo should be maintained.

Fist, wtf does your last post mean please? You sound like Brian Cowen after a night on the sauce.
I have no idea I haven’t read it.
Probably makes as much sense as you are making because I haven’t the faintest idea who Brian Cownen is.October 17, 2010 at 16:04 #322965….I haven’t the faintest idea who Brian Cownen is.
Your not missing much, Fist.
October 23, 2010 at 11:46 #324032Well, you could get around the ‘troll’ issue by using something like:
1. Set up an area where suggestions & requests to the BHA could be posted.
2. Have a membership vote on said posts.
3. Forward the popular ones to BHA on a weekly/monthly basis. My two pence worth.
October 25, 2010 at 08:19 #324402Vague notions have a habit of being ill-starred, Corm. Look no further than the Racing For Change programme, which has achieved precisely bugger-all, because no-one really knew what they wanted from it in the first place.
Err no Racing For Change is a vehicle for a load of consultant chappies and their mates to clear out millions from an improvished sport. They seem to be doing a very good job of paying themselves.
If you need to know the time, ask the consultant, who will then proceed to tell you the time from your own watch, and obviously take said watch as payment in kind!
October 25, 2010 at 14:11 #324467if they are realy interested in what the we poor forum readers think .why dont they start there own forum
October 25, 2010 at 18:46 #324531I think the currently set up works fine.
However, I would like to see a more formal user-name for postings from the ‘BHA’s Communications Dept’, the reason being that we and others who may just be looking in can then clearly identify the official responses from the BHA from the personal posts/comments from PS or TT or whoever – and I believe they should have the right to post personal comments etc.
As an example, while I’ve got no problem with PS or any other member of this forum using the term ‘utter bollocks’ unless this is (and I suppose it maybe) an official BHA response it should be confined to PS’s personal postings.
I do know that PS has indicated in the past that his posts should be read as official responses from the BHA unless otherwise stated but I think clearly distinguishing between the two would be helpful to both TRF and PS/BHA
October 25, 2010 at 20:17 #324548Thanks for the feedback everyone, plenty sensible comment, as ever –
I’m hoping to catch up with Paul Struthers shortly (other events allowing!) to have a chat on taking this forward and I’m sure the points raised above will form part of that discussion.
I’ll keep everyone posted on progress.
