Well done Jac. Just unstoppable on the last day!!
And Mike and Cork top effort but at Newmarket you are competing against the proverbial handicap good thing!!Great job running this Graham and I will as always savour the cakes
May 7, 2023 at 20:02 #1647053There’s a rumour going around that Triptych is propping up the bar
everyone is buying her a glass of pimms listening to her tales of victory against the old enemy at the Rowley mileCharles Darwin to conquer the World
May 7, 2023 at 22:15 #1647062Nathan spot on
We decided to stay for the after races party and have a wee celebration, sadly only Appletise for me but I have opened a bottle of something tonight to celebrate.
Many thanks to Mike, Green, Raymo and yourself Nathan and to Graham for his constant updates after each race
(none of which I saw today until now) which made the competition so enjoyable.Mike & Cork you both played so consistently over the 3 days I thoroughly enjoyed the chase and this time Mike I can actually end with your legendary…Get In..

Well done for winning the cakes this time Raymo.

That 1000 Guineas finish was one of the most exciting I have seen in a long time. Mawj is such a little warrior she never gives up…I really have to thank her for winning this for me.

Thanks Graham, I didn’t know we were playing for a prize but I guess you know where it will be going and thank you.. Jac

enjoyable when something you love comes up trumps. It certainly came
up trumps in spades( no pun intended
) for you today Jac. I couldn’t
be more pleased
I take it we’re talking about a donation to the Hillside Animal Sanctuary
again then Jac, they owe a lot to you with a few now from here recognising
what a great job they do.A Classic Guineas Weekend Competition at Newmarket, who else could win it
May 8, 2023 at 06:07 #1647075Thanks to BigG for running the competition.
“At Newmarket you are competing against the proverbial handicap good thing!!”
That is true. It was an indifferent final day’s selection from me but I had no chance with the well deserved winner who was consistently the best over the three days.
It was a good Guineas meeting, just a pity the weather affected Saturday’s card.
May 8, 2023 at 08:23 #1647081Thank you Cork winning this particular competition means a lot to me.
Quite a few horses pulled out of the later races yesterday as the ground had turned very sticky by the time the Guineas was run it was a tough slog.
Jac

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 8, 2023 at 09:41 #1647087Well done Jac. Great score and always nice to win at home! (Brighton take note….)
Thanks for organising BigG
May 8, 2023 at 12:21 #1647098Can’t say it’s a total shock for you to win this competition, Jac. Newmarket is your second home. Well done.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.May 8, 2023 at 12:57 #1647099Thanks Tonge and Rummy..I couldn’t get anywhere near your Handicap race on Saturday though.

Good luck at Brighton Katherine, another specialist track, if I lived there I’d be down The Lanes today having a spend up.

Much appreciated and best of luck for the next one. Jac

Total (GBP) £25.00May 8, 2023 at 17:10 #1647131Oh lovely surprise Graham, didn’t expect that. Those extra funds and bales of hay are so important at the moment they are taking on so many more animals needing help even rehoming dogs from those families unable to care for them because of the financial crisis.
Really enjoyable competition..three Cheers for Graham, The Raymos, Hot Fuss, Rummy, Vtc, Nathan and all who keep us on our toes and the bookies running for cover.
