Well done with your free list Neil, that’s superb :good:

I’ve not checked the full list of stables to accurately state
they are losing their appeal, but I’d guess that the jumps
competition is probably favoured as so many of the horses
are well known, having been running for years. Just my assumption

The reason for the drop in entry numbers should be blindingly obvious to all – Chezza has scared them off.

If it wasn’t for the Tote TTF software failing to credit Emily Upjohn, Soul Sister, Auguste Rodin and Ace Impact with being in Chezza’s TTF stable, Chezza would already be in an unassailable lead.

It’s Monday, well Tuesday actually now, but we’ve only been going 1
weekend so the Monday update will be a mini one.

Flat Out lived up to their name by storming to an early
lead courtesy of a Derby/Oaks double with Auguste Rodin
and Soul Sister for 111.99 points. Great start FO, all
you’ve got to do is stick there for another 20 weeks :good:

Well that was shorter than I thought, the Tote site just went
down for maintainance and won’t be up again untill 5am.

Mind you, it could be that they’ve just heard that Chezza is
gunning for them and they’ve all jumped ship, or it could be that
they’ve decided to fix the bloody site!!. Nah, my money is on they’ve
jumped ship, as the’ve only been able to come up with 1 1/2 Hobnobs
to try and appease an incandescent with rage Chezza and that wouldn’t
even count as a hors d’oeuvre on the Chezza Hobnob scale.

This is going to cause more backlash than the stalls at Epsom not
opening at the same time. A restart could be on the cards

Cheers for that Sam, it is quite a come down. I didn’t realise
it but there’s a definite trend there which could be down to
people getting exasperated with the layout and running of the
    site.

I’ve sent off another moan to them about the decision not to
include Group2 and 3s in the US. The $250,000 Group2 Belmont Gold
Cup runs of Friday and yet if you picked the winner you would
get more points for being 3rd in a Maiden at Folkstone. You either
include the Group races in the US or just don’t include the US.
It’s a bloody insult to them.

    Week 1 (and a bit)

Flat Out keeps top spot after last weeks Derby/Oaks double with
Auguste Rodin (57.55)and Soul Sister (54.44 points). Nothing added
over this week but the double was enough to top the league. 111.99
    points.

MOM’s Summer Flatters remains in 2nd place with the Derby winner Auguste
Rodin Coronation Cup winner Emily Upjohn (30.25 points), with the runner
up Westover for a further (1.6 points) and the runner up in the Oaks,
Savethelastdance (13.10) for a total of 102.50. All from the 1st weekend,
but like our leader, nothing to add this week.

The spledidly name Blackbeard I’ll av EEE, also scored all points in
the first weekend Soul Sister, Emily Upjohn and Savethelastdance for
a total of (97.79 points) and stays in third spot.

Carlisle Are Up and Sultans Of Swing both had Auguste Rodin and
Savethelastdance to tuck in behind the top three with 70.65 Points

Those who were 40+ points, were all due to a combinations of the
above mentioned horses all within the 1st weekend.

The only stable to score anything this week was Midnight, who has
picked a brave stable missing out all the above, but did pick up
1.50 points with Jim Goldie’s Geremia who was 3rd yesterday at
Beverley. I’d say you were a little unlucky Midnight with Gerimia
who seemed a little reluctant to come out the stalls and had no
option but to tuck in behind. He wsa looking for a space late on
and when it came he dived way out to his left before running on
strongest of all, but too late.

So being the only scorer of the week, the plaudits for top scorer
Go to Midnight. Very best of luck with that stable :good:

Although the weekend has racing at York, Sandown and Chester where
there are a few competitive races, but very few that will probably
make any change in the order of the league. All the big boys (and girls)
are tucked away safely in their stables with Ascot on the horizon.
There could be many a change in the league then, but a quiet week
    is expected.

Best of luck if you’re having a punt this week or just working out
your accas for those “certainties” at Ascot :good:

Chezza’s most annoyed with how this is working out so far – is there a way to cheat?

Yep it’s a crucial time Neil, the league could be turned upside
    down over the 5 days.

Just to let you know I’ll put up a competition for Royal Ascot
and I’ll look after your Handicap Competition over the next
couple of weeks. Enjoy your well earned time off :good:

Just in case anyone is wondering what happened to the Monday update.
Firstly there was so little movement between the Guineas weekend
and the start of Ascot week and secondly I was off to Port Patrick
on Monday and got back today. There is already some movement after
the 3rd day at Ascot so I’ll leve it to this Monday coming to give
    a full update :good:

    Week 3

Flat Out kept a firm grip on the leader’s position with a terrific Ascot.
Shaquille rode a great race to keep Little Big Bear at bay in the Commonwealth
Cup and was duly rewarded with the 62.30 points. Tahiyra came with a beautifully
timed run to take the Commonwealth Stakes and to add a further 52.67 Three runners-up
Sacred in the QEll Jubilee Stakes, Chaldean in the St James Palace Stakes and Little
Big Bear in the commonwealth Cup all added a furthe 41.86 for a grand total of 155.85
Points for the week. Total points are 268.82. That’s a great score after only 3 weeks
FO. The highest score of the week and remains in 1st place. Outstanding :yahoo:

Blackbeard I’ll av EEE also benefited from the urgings of Ryan Moore to get River
Tiber over the line in front in the Coventry Stakes for 23.52 points. More benificial
was Tahiyra with his 62.30 points. Chaldean had to settle for 2nd place behind Paddington
and added 13.30 points for a total of 99.18for the week. That boosted Nathan up one place
into 2nd place on a total of 241.78.
Great run to close the lead on Flat Out there Nathan :good:

Jac’s Dark Angels are on the march with Tahiyra (62.30 points) and Paddington, who has to
be a good horse the way he strode past Chaldean and 54.50 points. One of Jac’s (and my)
favourites, Waipiro came good in the Hampton Court Stakes for 25.90 points. He’s not
finished for this season and more points will be forthcoming I’ll warrant. That all
amounts to a first class 142.70 points this week and has Jac making a serious move from 6th
to 3rd on an overall total of 196.32
    Great stuff Jac :yahoo:

Despite having Tahiyra and runner up Inspiral (13.55 points) and scoring 76.05 points,
MOM has dropped from 2nd to 4th, but at this stage it’s no great shakes to drop a couple
of places. 4th place is still right up there and we know MOM is a real danger in these
    competitions. Total score 168.72 :good:

Carlisle are up, Sultans of Swing and Man Superstars are all with 5 points of each other,
    in 5th, 6th and 7th. Totals 168.31, 166.18 and 163.18 respectively

Likewise Threenaps and FF91 are with 3 points of each other in 8th and 9th.
    Totals 141.40 and 138.32

Tahiyra was popular with umpteen stables, so many stables didn’t really move
from previous positions. Michael Walsh and Chezza’s Cheating Charlatans, despite
the 52.67 points, are still held up midfield. Chezza might think himself a little
unlucky to have 3 runners-up, Luxembourg, Coltrane and Chaldean. I though Coltrane
had in the bag at one point, but then what do I know

Those are the main movers in the league this week. Saturday has the Pretty Polly
Stakes at the Curragh. Warm Heart would be a warm favourite but I doubt very much
he will run after his fine Ascot effort. Sunday has the Irish Derby and although
    Auguste Rodin looks a bit like a shooty-in, I wouldn’t dismiss Sprewell who didn’t
have the easiest of passages and didn’t settle well in the Derby. I think the Curragh
    will suit him better.

So with some decent horses running this week, there could be some shifting around
in the league this week. I’m particularly looking forward to the Northumberland Plate,
otherwise known as the Pitman’s Derby. A lot in with a shout but I do have a fancy
for Vino Victrix who is currently 20/1.

That’s about it for this week and here are the scores as per the TTTF (flat) site.
Good luck whatever you’re having a go at :good:
