Kim Brassey is a top man:
When he trained in upper Lambourn back in the 80’s he gave me the rundown on his top sprinter "Amigo Menor", he told me he would run 3 times, and on the 3rd outing he will be wearing blinkers, so get on.
On his 3rd outing he ran at Lingfield with blinkers on and won at 7/1.

His tips are terrible these days.I think he goes for the shortest priced favs of the day and sends them out. They should be called ”Lay of the day”

I used to run a tipping service-thought was logical thing to do having worked in racing but in all honesty the pressure of having to find winners everyday was to much and ended up spoiling racing for me at the time…anyway I gave up (but did actually show a profit)…but there are a few good tipsters out there, I have been proofing one service ( All Weather Tipster) for just over a month and results are good and further to a post on here this chap uses sp for results and really does not charge anywhere near what could so if you look hard enough and want a tipster there are a few good ones but I would never pay these "well known" guys £000’s as just not worth it.

I’ve subscribed to Fitzgeralds daily text messages and the last week his tips have been absolute dross.
The horses that he tips are usually about evens or odds on and i think i have wasted my money.
I’ve also been getting texts from Carl LLewellyn inviting me to join his service and also texts from SMIS Confidential.
This week i had a text from someone on saying listen to 10 of the countrys leading tipsters at a cost of pennies rather than pounds.
    BEWARE.

Anyone working in stables should be barred from any connections with tipping services. They only serve to bring racing into disrepute. IMHO.

Harper, you don’t seem to want to make your own selections I assume.
I’m not pretending to be tipster, far from it, but I’m doing very nicely with my selections, thanks, and have done for some time. You are welcome to use my selections, for free of course, but at your own risk, obviously.
Maybe some of my good fortune will rub off on you, after all I hope the main object of this forum is to help each other beat the book, I for one am never shy to seek advice from other members. Only last week graysonscolumn helped confirm a 33-1 shot I quite fancied was worth a bet…it won easily, and advice from WallaceNo7 stopped me wasting cash on a non trier yesterday
Check my previous record, even if I say so myself I think you’ll agree it’s pretty good, all my bets with stakes are posted well before off times and I don’t back lots of horses.
My post reviewing this coming weeks racing might be of some use, you’ll find it in daily lays and plays, subtitle "Notes on this weeks entries" along with all my previous bets from the start of the year

I’ve recently gone against everything I used to believe in and subscribed to a tipping service.

I never used to be interested in them and would prefer to back my own judgement, I’ve found it harder and harder to find good winners though and believe to have an edge over the bookies a bit of good ‘inside info’ is a great tool.

It’s the first one I’ve tried and I’ve got to say they’ve been top class to be fair, their communication is spot on, not one odds on shot tipped, no excuses…if they give a dud tip out they say it as it is. All tipsters will have good runs and bad runs and they did have a bad one lately but gave no poor excuses! Back on a great run at present and given 5 consecutive winners.

It’s the same with anything in life though, no-one is forcing anyone to part with their cash it’s each to their own!

Cheltenham Specialist, that name’s not a non-de-plume for Dean McKeown is it?
I’m all for people blowing their own trumpet but I do tend to notice that you seem to have your own brass band ensemble.
Anyway, in a little over a week we’ll be able to prove whether or not you really do live up to your name. Your reputation is on the line.

I knew someone would get the wrong idea, I almost deleted the post, I’m really not bragging, honestly, just trying to share some good fortune.
I realise I’ll be judged on Cheltenham when I chose this name but fair does, I think I’ve proved I do have a fair idea of what I’m doing so far

At the risk of sycophancy, I did well from backing a couple of Cheltenham’s hunter chase tips last week. Can I ask whereabouts on the site wallace put you off a non trier or was that a separate thing?

I’m only teasing you Cheltenham Specialist. If you’re giving out winners to forumites then "good on you!".
Perhaps I should follow your tips but, then again, half the fun for me is in spotting something that I think no one else is privy to – I think it’s called ego!
However, my own success is far outweighed by my failure so would you mind if I sent you a couple of grand to invest on your tips for me please? You can then just send me a weekly cheque with my winnings, saving me a lot of time and trouble. In return you can have the kudos and satisfaction from making an old man very happy and wealthy.
    Cheers

I’d have to decine, it’s flattering of course, but I’ve done this in past for friends and it makes me too cautious, missed too many winners worrying about their expectations.
There’s nothing to stop you following my stakings and selections, with a £2000 kitty I’d call that £1 a point at my current staking plan as you’d need to be covered for bets in the region of 300/400 pts ew at The Festival

It was tongue in cheek, CS. I wouldn’t dream of putting that sort of financial pressure on anyone, let alone yourself. Besides which, the last time I had two grand to throw at the horses…..
More often than not I miss out on having a decent flutter at the big meetings due to losing my investment funds in the weeks leading up to the likes of Cheltenham etc. However, this year I’ve been very disciplined and I’m looking forward to some decent bets.
