Could have have been even more interesting if they had given the dig more time. The rushed nature of the show is annoying – shame they can’t have the time lapse style of programmes like Grand Designs.
Such a pity that Bruce Hobbs’ house has gone into such ruin (the building next to the main dig).
Funny that they had a cartoon graphic which included a horsebox wheel in the stable area (which they were talking about being used from 1670 and 1700s) yet the first horsebox was only invited for Elis to win the St Leger in 1836.
Newmarket is such an interesting topic for a show like this. They could return and find Nell Gwyn’s secret passageway!
