Can anyone tell if a Three Quarter Sibling is….
Where a horses Sire as covered the same Mare as the horse has?
Cheers
June 9, 2013 at 12:56 #442264I am not sure that I understand your post!
Frankel and Bullet Train are three parts siblings because they share the same dam, and the sire of Bullet Train is the grand-sire of Frankel.
Edit: having read your post a few times, I think that you are describing the Frankel/Bullet Train Situation. The "horse" is Galileo, the "sire" is Sadlers Wells and the "mare" is Kind.
June 9, 2013 at 13:11 #442265sorry for confusing you so it is where
father/son
cover the same Mare..
so
Sadler´s Wells
covered
Kind
producing
Bullet Train
Then… his son
Gallieo
Covered
Kind
producing
Frankel
making
Bullet Train
and
Frankel
Three Quarter Siblings?

Although I think a three-quarter sibling might also arise where two half brothers cover the same mare. Say Sea The Stars and Galileo cover the same mare.
I think Zarkava was covered by both STS and Galileo, but I am not absolutely certain.
