A very belated good evening to all, as always at the start of my write up extended welcome’s as always to Swallow Cottage And MikkyMo
As my fellow comrades have said between us again a good week last week in one way or another, and thanks in main to TI a few more Rands to help the Bank balance along as we fast approach the yuletide season, speaking of which had the Staff Xmas dinner last night, still recuperating

Anyway enough of that and after having a quiet day at the office am able to bring to you this weeks Golf version of Bullseye.
IN ONE, The Merrill Lynch Shootout, apologies in advance as Camelot appear to be sponsoring this one as if you might guess this for me is a bit of a Lotterry, but every tournament has to have a Winner i suppose, so for that purpose the honour falls on Chris DiMarco and Camilo Villegas.
IN TWO, AND THREE The Asia Masters, not sure about this one so a change of attack here, Shiv Kapur and Simon Yates throwing the Tunsten’s here.
IN FOUR, FIVE And SIX The Alfred Dunhill Championship, double figures bar Ernie, surely some value here and hopefully for the non dart thrower he can hit the Jackpot Via Ross Fisher, Simon Dyson and as you will be aware by now like to put foreward my E/W of the week, in this case Anton Haig.
Finally for this week and not hoping to be just left with the tankards come the end The Australian PGA, IN SEVEN, and EIGHT, well her it’s a case of Green go in the shape of Nathan and Richard Green, for this week Bully’s special prize falls on a chap who did me a favour a couple of weeks back, Drum Roll please, because burdened with the honour of bringing back the Caravan
, the one and only Kevin Stadler, who if memory serves me does not usually do to bad down under.Well that’s just about it Four me for now , so as always whatever your picks BE LUCKY.
Cheers
Adrian..
December 4, 2007 at 09:14 #128705Good to see you get another winner Wakeman and let’s hope we can both hit the jackpot in South Africa this week

Ernie Els could easily win in South Africa but his odds are too short for my liking especially as he is presently playing with some new clubs/irons. My main bet will be on Charl Schwartzel who loves this course and won here in 2004. I am also going to bet on Ross Fisher and hope that his missed chance to win in Shanghai will not effect his confidence. Anton Haig has not done much since winning the Johnnie Walker Classic but my money is on him at long odds – maybe playing in his native country will inspire him to victory.
Down in Australia, the pga championship takes place on an easy long par 72 course with plenty of birdies to be made. Adam Scott is the favorite but he has never won a professional tournament in his home country and did not play well last week so I will overlook him but will be breaking lots of furniture on sunday if he wins.
My main bet is on the long hitting Rory Sabbatini who played reasonably well last week after a poor start. He is a tough character who will want to justify his appearance money for this event which initially caused some controversy. I’ll also bet on Peter Lonard who has a good course record and have a bet on the american Brandt Snedeker who has played well in his rookie season and will be familiar with this type of course which is similar to many in the USA.My only bet in the Volvo Masters of Asia is on Thongchai Jaidee who has won this event before and has shown improved form recently.
Good luck.
December 4, 2007 at 12:58 #128735Hi guys,
Just a quick one from me this week. I won’t be around at the weekend and I won’t be seeing any golf, and when this is the case I very rarely have a bet.
But I would be foolish not to leave an each way bet on Ross Fisher – not because he is in form, not because he is a decent price, not because I fancy him – but because the two best golfing tipsters in the business have put him up, aka Wakeman and Swallow Cottage
.The rumour is that JC from the Racing Post is clearing his desk as we speak
.Good luck both, I hope you have another successful week. As for me, I’m at one of those dreadful low budget Christmas Parties. I can’t wait

You’ld think Betfair would push the boat out a bit wouldn’t you?
December 4, 2007 at 13:45 #128744Just to let you boys know that Santa Claus has the Christmas money on this Ross Fisher guy!

Lol David,
I’ve had to give their party a miss. I mean, what good is a party on a Tuesday evening in Central London to a guy like me, with no transport of my own, living 300 miles away

December 5, 2007 at 13:19 #128914Hi again all, well i have to admire Mike’s Boldness and vote of confidence with regard to myself and SC as being the two best tipsters with regard to the Golf i myself regard it as a team effort, as far as i’m aware JC has not vacated his Post and if he were to we would go in Three handed, as i and i’m sure SC would say the same you would be coming with us, there’s a thought

So the festive season begins for yourself then, i have two more doo’s to attend before the main course if i can last the pace, not getting any younger

More later
Cheers for now
Adrian.

Thanks for the compliment Mike but as wakeman says, this is a team effort and my lucky streak will soon come to an end and not return for many weeks. The only reason that JC of the Racing Post will be clearing his desk is because I will need to buy it off him if Adam Scott wins in australia this weekend because this will mean that I will need a new one as my furniture will be going on a one way trip over the edge of the devon cliffs
December 7, 2007 at 19:30 #129412Hi Mike, just a quikkie before you embark on your drinking session if you have not left already, just to say my apologies as i appear to have led you up the garden path with regard Ross Fisher on this occasion still if it’s any consolation has done for me and i believe SC as well :shock, thankfully there are i think other Fish still frying
, have a good weekend.December 9, 2007 at 08:53 #129670A good morning to all, having just arose from the Slumberland i see that there is a nice present for SC
in the shape of Peter Lonard, options for me fast dwindeling but not to worry will plod on.Cheers for now
Adrian.
December 9, 2007 at 10:04 #129682Cheers wakeman and my lucky run has continued
I was hoping that Simon Yates would do the business for you in Asia but he didn’t quite manage it but it was a good shout by you and he did finish fourth.
I’m hoping that Ernie will now win easily in SA today as this will mean he will be a strong favorite for the SA Open next week so there may be a bit more value to be found with betting on his opponents
December 10, 2007 at 15:17 #129870Yes, congrats SC – again!

What about Ernie? Middle of the fairway with his tee-shot, then takes seven to get down – absolutely criminal for a guy of his ability.
I think this is now the third time in about the last 4 or 5 weeks where someone has at least double bogeyed the last to lose the tournament, Els, Rose and I’m sure there was someone else before them.
Mike
