    Good evening all.

Well after last weeks efforts it’s time to get out of the rut I’m in, not had the best of times recently but here’s hoping we can put the bookies to the sword this week :) .

Three Tournaments for me this week, those being the Zurich Classic and Ballantines Championship for the Men and the Corona Championship for the Ladies.

Beginning with the Zurich Classic and as long as there are no hangovers left then Kenny Perry 14/1 deserves the chance to put the misfortune of Augusta behind him, he is certainly playing well enough to do that but you just can’t help but feel that he may not be up for it after that, I am prepared to take the chance however.

I mentioned at the start that I hope to put the bookies to the sword this week :) well here before us we have none other than Tim Wilkinson 66/1, he made the money in this last year and it is therefore hoped that a return to this part of the world can help in his quest to maybe come out on top this time.

My final choice for this will be JJ Henry 90/1, he is still very hit and miss at present but there was encouragement recently in some performances to suggest that he may have a say of sorts in the final outcome of this.

This weeks Race To Dubai offering takes in the Ballantines Championship.

It was it’s inaugural year last year and Graeme McDowell emerged triumphant after a play off with Jeev Milkha-Singh a surprise absentee this year and he will no doubt want to have a say in this years outcome, whilst respecting his chance alas not for me though.

It has attracted some players who did not participate last year and sorry folks time to be boring again because first port of call will be Henrik Stenson 11/1, whilst things did go his way at Augusta prior to that there were signs that possibly he was ready to come out of his bad trot, in the hope that Is the case I feel he has to be involved this week, famous last words :) .

A bit of spice for my next choice in the form of Jyoti Randhawa 35/1, he had a good run in this last year whilst it has to be said never looking like winning and bits and pieces of form recently suggest a prominent showing here is more than possible, here’s hoping the Korma is on the house come Sunday  .

My final choice for this will be Fred Couples 55/1, there have been signs recently that his long standing back problems may now be starting to be a thing of the past, if that is the case the odds on offer here in my opinion certainly need a second look.

The Ladies this week are catered for in the shape of the Corona Championship, here’s hoping there is plenty of fizz  in my nap hand for this.

No surprises whatsoever I’m afraid in selection no 1, step forward Paula Creamer 18/1, I was on the verge of leaving her out this week but again a decent enough price has been put before me to say not just yet, I am still unsure as to her wellbeing but you would like to think that she is well on the way to recovery now here’s hoping.

Right time to board the ferry for my next two choices :) , a short trip across the English Channel to Brittany now  and we come across Brittany Lang 33/1 and Brittany Lincicome 66/1.

Brittany Lang has been doing ok recently without it has to be said being overly involved in the business end of proceedings, if she can continue in the same vein then this might just be her week.

As for Brittany Lincicome however she could not be arriving here in better mettle having landed the first Major of the year that being the Nabisco Championship, whether that was a one off or not time will I’m sure be the deciding factor on that one as it was a few years ago that I believe her last victory to have been, many people however have felt this was long overdue.

If all is well however after her win then I feel the odds available at present are a tad over priced in comparison with some above her this week, of couse it can go the other way but I am prepared on this occasion to have her in my corner.

I have to row in I’m afraid with Kristy McPherson however with reference to Brittany Lincicome the 40/1 I feel is a bit stingy greed again :) , ok she managed to put four decent rounds together at the recent Nabisco but if I’m not mistaken that was one of the few occasion’s that she has managed that, the plus side now that she knows she can mix it with the best hopefully it was not a one off then you feel a prominent showing is again on the cards this week.

Finally for me and Anja Monke 250/1 is given a rather tentative vote it has to be said.

As the odds suggest not really fancied by many, the reason for that is the flat stick is being far from co operative, certainly since her triumph in Dubai last December.

In the hope that it has been able to be sorted out the who knows, she might sneak a place for me, I am it has to be said not expecting a victory, just hoping for a good showing as she certainly knows the time of day should the cap fit.

Well as always the Best Of Luck to everyone partaking, i am now heading back to the Export :D .

    Cheers.

    Adrian.

Abysmal performances from my selections last week so I do not think I can do any worse in this week’s events.

I’ve gone for the following five players in the

    Zurich Classic

and have shown the BF odds I obtained –

    Nick Watney

( 20/1 ) has improved a lot this season with a win in the Buick and a runner up in the WGC. He is one of the longest hitters on the pga circuit and his putting and iron play around the greens have improved this season. He’s won this event before and looks to have a good chance.

    Justin Rose

( 37/1 ) played quite well at the Masters. His all round game is reasonable and as this is not a particularly strong event then I reckon he’s worth an interest

    Charles Howell III

( 55/1 ) is one of the best par 5 performers on tour so I always consider him for par 72 events like this one and it’s encouraging that he has recent good form to his name as he finished 2nd at the Transitionals about a month ago.

    John Senden

(90/1 ) is a player I rarely bet on and he has only won once in over 200 attempts on the pga tour but he is the type of player who can produce a good performance from nowhere and as I don’t like the chances of so many players competing in this event then I have decided to go with him this week.

    John Mallinger

(160/1 ) is my long shot for this and I noticed that he finished 3rd here in 2007 and he finished 6th at the Shell Houston recently so this has encouraged me to bet on him this week as I have always considered that he has the ability to win on the pga tour.

The race to Dubai continues with the

    Ballintine’s Championship

in S/Korea and there are not many players who I fancy to win this.

Sometimes it pays to go with the obvious in golf betting so I’m happy to take the odds on offer and back

    Henrik Stenson

to win this as I think he can outclass this field.
I don’t bet on defending champions that often but

    Graeme McDowell

obviously likes this course and has also played reasonably well in some other events in Asia so odds of 20/1 look good enough for my liking.

    Prayad Marksaeng

found the Augusta course too difficult in his most recent event but had previously being playing well in Asia with runner up finishes this year in the Malaysian Open and the Black Mountain Masters. He won 3 times in Japan during 2008 and has also won in China in the past so enjoys playing in this region of the world.

    Seung Yul Noh

is S/Korean and is only 17 years old. He already has one victory and three runner up finishes to his name on the Asian tour and I am hoping the support from his home fans may inspire him to victory.

The lpga event is in Mexico this week for the

    Corona Championship

. I’m betting each way on four players –

    Katherine Hull

( 40/1 ) started the year with a victory in her native country and then later on she nearly won the HSBC Women’s Champions in Singapore. Her odds look good value in my opinion and I was expecting them to be lower.

    In Kyung Kim

( 50/1 ) nearly won in Phoenix recently but was caught over the final few holes and finished a very respectable 3rd. She then went on to finish 28th in the Kraft Nabisco and she looks worth an each way interest.

    Seon Hwa Lee

( 66/1 ) has won four times on the lpga tour so far and I remember her winning one on an easy course last year when she shot 15 under par to win over only 54 holes so she has shown a liking for the easier courses.

    Na Yeon Choi

( 50/1 ) had a reasonable rookie season last year and could do better in 2009 as she has already had a couple of top ten finishes. She should have won the Evian Masters last season and I’m hoping that this week will be a good one for her.

Good luck to Adrian, Crizzy, Aaronizneez and everybody betting on the golf this week :)

Not getting my bets on last week was the best result on the golf for ages ! :)

Just having a go in the Zurich Classic this week.

    First choice is

    Woody Austin

who has 8 out of 8 cuts this year (kiss of death?) and whose best finish this year was last weeks 11th. Has a couple of top ten finishes on this course so here’s hoping he can turn last weeks effort in to a top 5 finish on a course he plays well.

    John Merrick

finished strongly at The Masters to complete his third top ten finish of the season. Finished seventh in this last year and should give a bold account.

    Finally I’m going with

    Tim Petrovic

who has been pretty poor this year but managed a top ten last week. Won this in 2005 and a top tenner last year so is worth a go for a top 5 finish.

    Good luck to all
