These "tips" stay on the sites front page days after the event has been run.
Casually looking at these
I have yet to see a winner selected, couldnt even get a 4/11 shot in latest as a headline and the second stab at finding a winner was also silver medallist.

Pricewise should be unconcerned
January 2, 2013 at 17:41 #425030Yeah, i wouldn’t be worried about taking some of them on.

The Forum communities are a dying breed in itself because the experienced Internet user has become lazy through the dumbing down of technological advances to suit the masses which means having the prospect of a long winded debate are well and truly blown away.
With a sport that has millions of followers in this country it’s hard for a minuscule forum like TRF to generate any sort of publicity that downgrades any need for a serious tipping expert which is why many forum regulars have taken up the role unsuccessfully in the eyes of many but the again does it really matter? Large organisations like RUK and ATR get just short of a thousand views on their videos which puts into perspective at how small the Internet audience is out there despite the large following.
I know how to tackle this problem
January 8, 2013 at 12:47 #425664Nothing like the proverbial kick up the backside.
Casual reading before proceeding to main forum today gave two winners Saturday gone.
That is honestly in two years of casually glancing post race I’ve seen a winner tipped
Well Done Sir
January 8, 2013 at 13:42 #425671One of the problems with doing the Saturday column which the Ante Post King is doing now is entries have to be in by Thursday noon so can quite often not know what the final field is let alone the price.
I did the front page tipping before TAPK and had plenty of winners through the summer writing a Wednesday and Saturday piece, TAPK has not been doing it long only 6 or 7 columns I believe so it won’t take a lot to bring him back in front, give it a chance.
The column your referring to Saturday was by JJMsports who wrote it before me again and he was very consistent in finding winners and done a brilliant job and I always enjoy reading his articles.
Your ‘casual glancing’ over 2 years appears to be very selective.
January 8, 2013 at 19:34 #425698Absolutely TBracing – Deadline for Saturday selections is BEFORE even the 48 hour decs come out so it’s very tough finding runners never mind winners. Often you’re not only guessing if your horse will run but, just as critically, what the opposition is.
We provide the column to some regional newspaper sites foc in return for some advertising of TRF, hence the deadlines, and five of us (myself, Adam, JJM sports, TBracing and TAPK) have all had a stint. As TBRacing points out TAPK is still in early stages but I think teh other four of us did pretty well really given the extreme limitations. And JJM would have done even better than he did had he not suffered from me failing to post the article on several occasions when he had winner after winner.

Must be very difficult so far ahead, respect for all those who try.
