Go on my son!
March 2, 2011 at 20:39 #342995Tell you what – if RFC, the BHA, Cheltenham racecourse or CH4 (or any permutation of all 4) don’t get some session musicians together tout suite and get this recorded with the wee lad fronting it in time for the Festival they are missing a HUGE trick.
March 2, 2011 at 21:12 #342999They need to fly the boy in, and make a big deal of this. They need to ask him ‘what made you write and record this’, live on air, and if he shows the same enthusiasm in an interview, as he does in his songs, will do a lot more than the odd press release. Common sense please!

Also, great song!
March 2, 2011 at 22:22 #343007The young man in question is a big Diamond Harry fan and will be coming to the Festival this year…I got this email from the guy who administers the Paul Duffy Diamond Syndicate…
"Hi All
For all those music lovers and racing fans within the partnership, I felt I should copy you all into the email I have received from one of Diamond Harry’s greatest fans. Mark is only thirteen and is coming over from Ireland for the Cheltenham Festival week to see his favourite horse DH. I will be meeting up with him and his parents at the course and hope we can all make his week one to remember.
What do you all think and have you any ideas to help make it even more memorable (I will get some photos downloaded as a start I’ll see if I can et Daryl to sign them). I think it would be a really nice touch.
We also have Diamond Harry fan coming down from Yorkshire.
Graham"

Yeah, this could be good. Could definitely picture the end of the day highlights (with the horses crossing the line) to this song.
