From trainer Kim Baileys website:
The highs and lows of National Hunt racing were very evident for us last night.
Terribly sad for his owners Tania and Richard Yeomans but their lovely horse Thenameescapseme broke his back in an horrific fall at the open ditch down the back straight at Worcester last night.
Thenameescapesme, who was bred by Phil Nelson and had been in training with Tom George, had become a bit of s a star for us and a real character; his form had recently improved dramatically and last night was running of an all time high mark of 110 after winning twice impressively recently. Like all horses he was loved and poor young Alan, who looked after him, was devastated, as were we all.
I read the daily blog and feel like I know them all – very sad news indeed and condolences to all at Thorndale.

You do feel very included in the daily goings on at Thorndale Farm; very aware of how loved and cared for the horses are by the staff and their owners, and very much share their highs and lows. Condolences to everyone.
