Hello everyone,
I have been using this system for many years.I was working with an on course bookie as a young lad, and he was the person who passed his knowledge on to me.
Everyday there are many races ran in this country and all over the world.
If we could pick say 33% of winners we would be rich men or women.I would be happy with a 20% strike rate to make money. The system I’m about to tell you about is so simple, yet works everyday.
You wont need a big bank or loads of hours of form studying.Just discipline to back only when the system tells you to back.Races for tomorrow I will be using this system are:
Plumpton
1.25.Southwell
12.40
2.40.
3.10.
3.40.Naas
1.15
1.45
3.45If you look at the above races the runners are a maximum of 9 runners.Thats the most of runners per race the system allows. The next part is so simple, you will be amazed.
All I do is back the said favourites in each race.I leave my bets till the last minute so last minute gambles are Incorporated into the bets. The only rules are no bet if odds on or joint favourites. With this system you can stop at a winner or carry on.It’s up to yourself.
I use the Sporting Life website for live shows and Betfair for bets. After a while you will see bets before the market adjusts its self.If anyone is interested in this, I will put my staking plan bets on here for a while so you can see it working.
If you have the time, you can back track these results through the ‘Racing Post’ ,’Sporting Life’ and ‘gg.com’ websites for back dated results.Good luck and keep smiling.
p.s.
First bet today 3/1/08 was a winning bet when Bavarica wins the first race at Lingfield 3/1January 4, 2009 at 00:26 #201363Welcome to TRF "goldentouch333".
It would be nice to see your staking plan in action and good luck for tomorrow.

January 4, 2009 at 00:48 #201368I’ve just had a look at the system using Racing System Builder for 2007. Admittedly RSB can only filter on <10 runners and cannot differentiate co -favourites, but one would have made a loss.
Backing favourites is not usually a profitable way of betting owing to them being overbet.
January 4, 2009 at 12:03 #201442Hello everyone,
Just to answer Greenbroker’s question.Below is an example of bets during an average day racing.I will use 5% commission for Betfair prices.
Bank:£1000
Profit target per cycle: 5% =£50First race on cycle= Fav = 2/1 stake £27 returns if wins with stake £81.00
Commission paid £2.70 if wins
Overall profit if wins £51.30
Result=LostNext race = Fav = 7/2 stake £24 returns if wins with stake £108.00
Commission paid £4.20 if wins
Overall profit if wins £52.80
Result=LostNext race= Fav= 6/4 stake £71 returns if wins with stake £177.50
Commission paid £5.33 if wins
Overall profit if wins £50.17
Result= wins
End of cycleAt this point you can stop for the day (which I do ) or you can carry on with new cycle.
Like I said earlier, with this system you can use whatever bank you feel comfortable with.
Hope above example helps.
January 4, 2009 at 16:29 #201468To me awhile to fathom your figures out. Basically, you are aiming to make £50 per day and stop at a winner? Each bet to recover previous losses.
Stakes could get pretty high if you hit a losing run. Are you backing odds-on selections and from around the world?
Do you carry on the sequence next day if there’s a losing day?
No favourites won on 24/02/07.
Some days there are not many qualifying races.
January 4, 2009 at 17:04 #201473Hello,
I never back odds on and only back horses in GB and Ireland.I use cycles to place my bets.
You are correct in saying that the example above is to set to make £50 per cycle not day. There could be only 2 races in one day (because of weather factors) so the cycle would carry on into the next day,if there are no winners.
Also you stated that there was no favourite winners on 24/2/07 I’m sorry to say there was.

January 4, 2009 at 17:05 #201475My experience of analysing staking systems such as this is it will eventually hit a losing run which will cripple it.
January 4, 2009 at 17:10 #201479Hello Cormack15,
Everybody has there own idea of picking winners.Hours of form study, systems, speed figures etc.
I find this one suits me.It may not be everyones cup of tea,but thats my opinion.
Also may I say, I would never encourage anyone to back a system or idea blindly.Always check it yourselves before placing any money down.
Thanks for the feedback

GT333You were correct with the above. Never got picked up by RSB.
On 24/03/07 there was a losing run of 5 before the favourite won. This is when stakes start to get high. There might have been longer losing runs throughout the year though.

That is what I thought with Seagull’s thread!

January 4, 2009 at 21:44 #201563GT333 – absolutely, and I’ll follow your selections with interest.
Matron – I was thinking about that after I’d posted my message.
January 5, 2009 at 02:10 #201622Hi Chaps,
I’ve been lurking here on the forum for a few months. On 11th May last year there were 9 consecutive losing Favs in races with 9 runners or less, (not including odds on or joint Favs) Starting from the first race the following day on the 12th there were another 5 of these consecutive losing Favs so that’s 14 losers in a row before you get a 13/8 winner. Also, the last 2 qualifying races on the 10th May also lost, so if you’d started there you would have had to wait until 17th race before a winner

5.00 13/8 WINThere may have been a longer losing run last year. Goldentouch, I haven’t done the maths here but surely that would have wiped out your bank? Or can you still make an overall profit if you lose your bank occasionally, like Seagull says has been possible with the old chap Mark’s system?

January 5, 2009 at 04:00 #201644There is a statistical test you can apply to find out the statistical probability of losing runs. Haven’t got teh details to hand but I’ll look it out, unless someone beats me to it.

Glamorous Spirit (IRE)

J Noseda
The Searchers

Was a bad day agreed. There was 9 bets in total. The others I can discard through odds on or joint favourites. You could set a ‘Stop Loss Max’ into the system.
Also I’ve been looking at using a different approach.Using Massey top ratings and The Daily Mirror (sf &f ) 9 and below horse races.
Todays selections.Lingfield
1.15.Surawaki
2.45.Hellbender
3.15.Bollin Franny
3.45.Master Pegasus.Back to the Fav system cycle ended when Surwaki won evens.Like I said earlier, this would not suit everyone I would never want anyone to jump feet first into this or any other system.
Study results add you own little features to it (like above Massey etc). You never know you might find a winning system.
Good luck with all your bets.
GT333January 6, 2009 at 14:02 #201902An interesting little system, goldentouch.

Does anyone know if the 9 runner maximum filter makes an important difference to profits?
