I am always confused with race clarification.
I myself did look at Fakenham 2.40 NOVICE CHASE but although not stated as aa handicap I do understand them (novice races) to be so.
Yet the 3.40 Fakenham is said to be a NOVICE HANDICAP HURDLE which is clear enough as a handicap race.
Why then is the 2.40 considered a HANDICAP race?

Aha! Thank you elcartero.
Perhaps as thought they can be tricky and so best avoided.

that is proper squeaky bottom time when you get to the final bet in a staking plan but it must feel good to be in profit.

and very adaptable to any who perhaps reads better newspapers than you and me.
It is very obvious the staking plan is making a lot of difference and otherwise may well be in the doldrums.
There will always be an argument regarding the risk/reward about betting the short odds on selections, some will say a winner is a winner and others will argue the point why risk 1.2.3 pts only to get a fraction back and that is, if it wins.
I must say, for me, the odds on choices are non starters and therefore think there could be a choice of options of moving to the next most valuable race or moving to Tom Pepper’s selections if different.
Whatever anyone decides and as I say it is a very adaptable system I do think you have uncovered a little gem and maybe we can all find our own way to exploit it, well done.
