Mensch’s earlier victory means a nice little profit, but we were unlucky with Ganero whose saddle slipped when in a good position after the girth broke, and our 12/1 shot beaten by a neck at York, not to mention the fast-finishing Frontier whose jockey didn’t press the button ’till it was way too late.
Still, though, happy enough in the end thanks to FF’s game effort. :biggrin:

Good to see forty forte running with a little more confidence and getting a result, he has lost a little ability over the last couple of years but was a great price for such a weak seller.

Luckily our winner was up against a solid favourite so didn’t lose too much value, and but for a bad blunder at the last from the odds-on :o Averse we would still have been in profit, but it just wasn’t to be today.
