December 3, 2005 at 12:25 #60933As a friend pointed out last night, it would help if I posted the rules of this system! My apologies!
It is called the Old One Two because it features the selection’s last 2 results and they are based on finishing positions of 1 & 2. ÂÂÂ
Rule 1 The horse must have figures of 01, 02, 21, 12 or 22 in its last 2 races.
Rule 2 The horse must be selected by Rob Wright in The Times and either Newsboy or Bouverie in the Daily Mirror.
A betting book I read many years ago suggested that the above finishing combinations provided more winners than any others. I accept that, as the findings were based on considerable research.
If we add to that sound basis the expert opinions of the two respected tipsters above, we should have a successful approach to selection.
I shall be using Rob Wright & the Mirror selections, but you could use any 2 sources.
I have one additional rule – I also include any horse with the 11(C/D) figures.
Good luck!
Selections for Saturday 3rd December 05:
Racing Demon 2.05 Sandown
McKelvey 2.50 Wetherby
Jungle Jinks 3.25 Wetherby
The Cool Guy 3.35 Haydock
Lady Gregory 7.00 Wolverhampton
We’ll Meet Again 8.00 Wolverhampton
Spitting Image 9.30 Wolverhampton
I was prompted to start following this system again out of a wish to follow a simple, steady road to success. One or two much heralded tipping services have had atrocious runs recently – one in particular 2/28 successes in 8 days!
December 3, 2005 at 12:54 #60936We all thought it was "a need to know system".
Good luck for today.

December 3, 2005 at 23:48 #60938Seems like an interesting idea Steve, I shall follow this with interest. I am slightly puzzled by the fact that 01 and 02 are permitted combinations. Am I right in assuming that 0 means that the horse in it’s second last time out has ran such as not even to receive any position number not even 5th, 6th or 7th for instance?, and yet if the horse had been for example 3rd or 4th in it’s 2nd LTO and 1st or 2nd LTO it would be disallowed?
If this is the case then it’s that I just don’t understand the logic of it.
Sorry if I am wrong in my interpertation of the above.
Anyhow I really hope this works, it is oftern the simplist systems that are the best.

December 4, 2005 at 11:15 #60940Hi Cosmic – The 0 in 01 and 02 is a finishing position of 4th or worse. I think the logic was that a horse making a big jump from unplaced to 1st or 2nd may well maintain this improved form. The research that I read suggested 32 was a less successful combination. If I can unearth the publication I’ll quote it more reliably.
Yesterday just two winners Racing Demon 6/4 and The Cool Guy 4/7 – that’s 6 out of 14 with a profit to £10 l.s of £11.46 so far.
As there are no Rob Wright selections on a Sunday I shall replace him – for Sunday only – with Computerman from the Express.
