Ex Ballydoyle The Mediterranean sadly suffered a fatal injury in the Wyong Cup in New South Sales yesterday , ran a few good races for Ballydoyle inc 2021 St Leger .
Clearly had some issues last few years ,only four runs in nearly two years but couple decent runs and had some good entries .September 6, 2023 at 07:39 #1661994He was a decent horse, I backed him a couple of times I think. It sounds like a horrible incident like that of San Antonio in the Irish Derby – only worse as two other horses were actually brought down.
The Mediterranean joins Cliffs of Moher, Antony van Dyck and Sir Dragonet as Coolmore bred horses to break down catastrophically on Australian tracks.
September 7, 2023 at 06:31 #1662086Along with The Pentagon and Mohawk at Werribee training track a few years back .
Temple of Artimis too last year at Warwick Farm but he might have been at Joseph’s yard from start maybe , iam not sure .September 7, 2023 at 14:25 #1662104Such sad news..
