When on a roll it is sometime harder NOT to bet and find cases for doing so and that is just what we have here.
No clear selection if adhering to the preferred "D" (previous distance winner rule), although not compulsory I did choose to include it within my criteria.
For any member/reader not willing to include the "D" there are two selections at MARKET RASEN: –
2.50 CALON CRWBIN 7/4
WON 4/6
3.50 BLOSSOM KING
Made 2’s but lost anyway
(I use the D. Mail betting forecast which is not available Sundays and so chose R.Post as an alternative and both were favs.on Odds Checker)

The Declaration of Independence was not signed on 4th July.
Independence Day was changed to the 4th July after Adams and Jefferson both died on July 4, 1826.
Five years to the day after Adams and Jefferson died, on July 4 1831, the fifth President, James Monroe, passed away.
I just love correcting the Yanks with this fact.
Also ask them to name three Countries beginning with the letter "U". Very rarely do the get USA.
Paddy Power knocked back my £0.37 bet.

A strange situation today, which I guess will come down to "you pay youre money and take your choice".
Because it is Sunday I have used a different forecast of starting prices and found just the one selection: –
Southwell 3.50 KING OF CASTILE forecast at 9/4
2nd @ 11/8
Now here comes the rub, RP forecast 7/4 and Odds Checker also has it at 7/4.

I have just been browsing through this interesting little thread and I noticed that your selection on Sunday of Bachelor Knight was in a Nursery race. These are handicap races for 2 yo’s.

Independence Day is not Independence Day.
If Jesus was not born on Christmas Day, is it not Christmas Day?
…..and if he was born in Jerusalem, how come he’s got a Porto Rican name?
July 12, 2010 at 12:01 #306064Hi there
Francis

First of all let me say I am pleased you are finding The Majestic of interest.
However I am sorry about this. I sadly cannot retrieve Saturday’s papers from the recycling bin in order to come out of this with any honour but in my defence I have checked both Racing Post and Sporting Life results pages and there is no a mention of it being a handicap.
Headed John Smith’s Nursery Sprint, so how is a dumb clux like me expected to know!

I have previously asked for a definitive answer of what races, precisely are handicaps, perhaps you may be just the person to answer it, I do hope so.
So here I am, much chastened and I do apologise to all concerned and will try in future not to let it happen again or if in doubt will make my suspicion known when posting any selection and then leave any reader/member to choose for themselves what to do.
