A big field but on form Night of Thunder is the one to beat in this though Hughes has gone for Toormore, Custom Cut looks the most likely improver though the last time he tried G1 he was found wanting.

May 15, 2015 at 17:18 #998107I am also on Integral but am only hopeful of a place.

May 16, 2015 at 11:19 #1003228Handicap size fields for Group sprints are now the norm and now we have one for a Group 1 mile. Personally, I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come.
It is stating the obvious to suggest that the perception is that there isn’t a standout performer in field.
If I was throwing a dart it would probably land on Yuften. He probably needs to find 4-5 lengths but he very much looks the part and might easily progress significantly from three to four. No bet though with Dettori on board as that powder puff drive is the last thing you want in fifth or sixth when you have backed one each-way.
May 16, 2015 at 14:50 #1003549Crazy price Integral at 11/4 with the Moore money running on here. Shades of a mini Frankie’s Seven.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
May 16, 2015 at 14:58 #1003550Night Of Thunder is one tough cookie. Not sure if he will go on to dominate the top mile events though.
Nevertheless, it makes Kingman’s form look even better.Gambling Only Pays When You're Winning
May 16, 2015 at 14:59 #1003551The class prevails, hard lines Toormore fans, he ran a cracker.
I thought Integral was keen enough early, she ran well before fading slightly. She’ll win back in her own sex races and with this under her belt.
They say the bigger the field the bigger the certainty and a nice price for Kingmans ex supporting act today. Night Of Thunder can relax knowing that his Nemesis was whisked away to stud leaving him to mop up the prizes.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
May 16, 2015 at 16:49 #1003567Winner was most impressive and won that quite comfortably. Well worth following imo. Doyle riding with bags of confidence and a style that’s becoming quite distinctive, with that jutting right elbow just before he gets down to business.
May 17, 2015 at 01:59 #1007776Varian is still operating at a near 18% win ratio and although last couple of weeks he’s found a winner hard to come by, Talmada ran well today FTO at big odds which suggests his horses are still generally fit. I always view trainers being out of form in line with if their horses clearly need the run, or aren’t seeing out their races, but don’t think that’s entirely true of Varian. I too would give Aljamaheer a squeak as he tends to save his best for the big races.
IMO that speaks volumes about Talmada. Have been laying Varian’s with confidence the last few days. Only backed the winner of the 5.10 (Double Up?) cos he said he thought FTO over 5f might be the best time to catch him.

I’d forgotten the boys in blue had acquired him, anyway makes a change for them to get one that then wins. He’s become only the third 2,000 winner to take the Lockinge.
NoT looks set to take on Toormore again in the Queen Anne, he’s also entered in the Eclipse so perhaps they don’t plan to keep him to a mile this year.
May 17, 2015 at 11:19 #1016216Funny about that as when the horses were walking down to the course I thought to myself who’s the godolphin horse in the race and it didn’t dawn on me until I saw him close up that it was in fact NOT, I was half expecting the white with red diagonal strip jockey silks still to be walking down. d’oh brain freeze.

May 17, 2015 at 13:34 #1017111Great picture Nathan, if I’d have been there and seen him I would definitely have backed him as it was I backed Integral but I did put NoT into my Telegraph Fantasy Racing selections but not a penny on in reality.
Hannon was putting in winners all over the place most impressive at Newmarket was Tupi who outclassed the field at a decent price. :)Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 17, 2015 at 13:38 #1017114Richard Hughes napped Tupi, Jac.
I got a few quid on Crystal Malt at 5/2 when in the bookies waiting for the train home.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
