Oh and WD on the rev f/c Jac!
March 24, 2018 at 15:55 #1347993Well played winners. I ignored his chances, which was silly really.
Back to the class 5 handicaps at Wolverhampton for now.March 24, 2018 at 15:57 #1347994Well done everyone on the winner

The proverbial Group horse in a handicap
March 24, 2018 at 15:57 #1347995I’m content enough with my place returns on Gabrial. The winner was very, very good!
March 24, 2018 at 16:09 #1347996Great start to the flat season, that forecast and win on Addeybb really saved the day for me green
and Lord Glitters ran a brave race with all that weight on the testing ground, we shall be seeing a lot of both horses in Group company this season.Cheers Raymo and green and Well done to all who backed the winner and not forgetting Mitchum Swagger and Gabriel all class handicappers.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 24, 2018 at 16:13 #1347997I’ve watched close to 50 Lincolns and never witnessed anything like that. The head on, oddly enough told the biggest story with Doyle sitting still while all around him elbows pumped and whips flew.
I did note that if Carlsberg did celebrations, they wouldn’t go near William Haggas.
Well done all winners – cracking horse.

He still hasn’t gotten over losing Ertijaal
Charles Darwin to conquer the World
March 24, 2018 at 16:34 #1348004Well done with your 33/1 on the 3rd Mitcham Swagger Steve and MOM with Gabriel
Just looked back on the Thread to find that you gave two horses early doors, one a non runner, hope MS returned you a small profit..
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 24, 2018 at 16:34 #1348003Well played winners. Looks a decent horse that. Though the ground was awful and so many clearly hated it.
Delighted with my place on Gabrial at 33s (Page 4).
March 24, 2018 at 17:13 #1348006Visually very impressive but he was also getting 8lbs, 6lbs & 5lbs from the 2nd, 3rd & 4th respectively with ground conditions probably also playing a part (the final time was almost 8sec slower than standard). Although he has won on good ground (the quickest he has ever raced on) he is a Pivotal so he is most likely always going to be better suited with plenty of juice in the ground.
His trainer said that the likely next stop is the Sandown Mile where he specifically mentioned they usually have slow ground – that race might give us a better indication as to what kind of level he could be capable of operating in.
March 24, 2018 at 18:04 #1348008Just win only for me Jac. I would rather do two and go win only because the quarter odds a place kills the price.
Well done on the forecast, it was touch and go mind you.
Pleased with Mitchum Swagger’s run, I thought he might be second but he was just worn down late.
The winner was obviously well handicapped today and will be getting the wrath of the official assessor after that. He may be better going up to Listed class at least with his rating going to be nearer 110 after today.
Fire Brigade was easy to back and it showed in the end, never featured.
Nice to get the Flat back up and running and I am hopeful of making some money next week at Meydan.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
March 25, 2018 at 11:37 #1348049Lord Glitters really did pull out all the stops to wear down MS for 2nd place in the final throws and left David O’Meara wondering what he has to do to get a winner at the moment he’s had a string of second places.
Just wondering what might have been if Afaak had got in and where he will go next. Sheik Hamdam didn’t have a lot of luck with his horses yesterday Taqdeer definitely in need of the run and Tabarrak hating the ground.
Some interesting points for the new season notebook though and also looking forward to Meydan next week.
Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 25, 2018 at 13:08 #1348054well done winners, so good to have flat racing back
March 26, 2018 at 15:14 #1348153The Racing Post raised Addeybb by 10 lbs for winning the Lincoln. He is was given 114 for Saturday’s performance. I would imagine my OR estimate of 110 should not be far away and make life tough in handicaps.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
March 26, 2018 at 16:40 #1348164bet 365 mile (if its called that now) was muted after the weekend steve.
on a side note(people) who would you be with if Zabeel Prince met Addeybb on good ground at levels?
March 26, 2018 at 17:45 #1348166Nwalton- off levels i would be in the Zabeel Prince camp 100%.
I think the mile division isn’t stellar this year and both will be interesting in it. Both clearly need to improve a lot to be G1 horses, but going by the Queen Anne odds, i wouldn’t say the milers are a great bunch at all.
Zabeel Prince i presume will be put over a 1m2 as well this season which could work out well.
