Some top horses in this as always, hopefully Bobs Worth shows his form of last year!
December 28, 2013 at 12:48 #463249I was very disappointed by Bob’s Worth last time and can’t back him with confidence for now. First Lieutenant is not one I’m a big fan of, as he doesn’t win often enough for my liking. Unioniste is a young horse of much potential but I can’t believe he is only a half point bigger in the betting than the Gold Cup first and second.
A few ifs and buts here but I’ll chance Sir Des Champs on home ground against a Bobs Worth with something to prove in a race where the two should be the ones fighting it out.
Sir Des Champs 10pts win at 7/2
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Naughty Nicky
December 28, 2013 at 17:23 #463279Bobs Worth is like the chasing version of Brave Inca. Gets the job done.
Very interesting UK / Ire chasing debut by Rubi Ball.
December 28, 2013 at 17:36 #463282Just imagine him with better ground and his beloved hill awaiting come March
December 28, 2013 at 17:48 #463284Some turn around from Bobs Worth from his 1st to 2nd race of the season and good fodder for the "training in public" Brigade.
I thought Sir Des Champs ran as if he needed the race today and he should be in the mix again come Cheltenham. 9/1 seems OK odds for his fans I would think.
Quite what Unioniste was doing so close up in the betting was a total mystery to me, as I had him pencilled in at 10/1 in the company he was in today.
Bob’s your uncle for Cheltenham on that evidence and I am having 40pts on at 7/2 with Ladbrokes (as low as 2/1 elsewhere)
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
December 29, 2013 at 10:49 #463353Was great to see him win again yesterday.
He is all class and guts!
Hope he gets to Cheltenham and wins the big one again, come March.
