Had to go into town, so I missed the pleasure of watching the race. Gymcrack has got richer.
Yeah Gerald, a 9yo on the Flat that hasn’t won for 4 years is the obvious choice. Good job it was a paper bet, because that means I can tear it up.

I’ll get tomorrow’s selection(s) out of the way now, so that I don’t have to look when I’m tired.

2yo Median Auction Maiden – Division I
[/color:2ggwjvpf]
Looks easier than the other DivisionI like La Toya J and Red Yarn on form. They come from the same Kempton race, and finished within a length of each other, with Red Yarn running green on her debut.
They are both comparatively well bred:
Class Of Dam
53.33 Cuthbert
71.79 Desert Recluse
66.69 Jodawes
57.15 Katchmore
63.97 Maxijack
71.67 Spice Fair
66.23 Chichi
77.86 La Toya J
71.04 Red YarnCan’t provide dosage for all the horses, as Pedigree Query was playing up.
And their dams have produced a couple of decent horses before:-
Cuthbert
Desert Recluse
Jodawes
Katchmore

December 30, 2009 at 17:10 #266485Not sure why Spice Fair is favourite for the race on betfair, when the winning favourite in the race he was second in was 1/3, indicating that there wasn’t anything else decent in the race, and the race was run 8 seconds outside of RP Standard.
I’ll have a look at the race on ATR, to see if I can work it out.
December 31, 2009 at 01:00 #266598hi Gerald, cried off that dodge pot in that seller yesterday, probably run in the other seller on the 4th,

LA TOYA JDecember 31, 2009 at 11:16 #266637strange that since i put KATCHMORE up
on betfair its in from 50/1 to 14/1 not me.lol.ummmmm
December 31, 2009 at 13:21 #266671Forgot to watch the race, because I was busy with the St Leger. The good news is that it also meant I forgot to bet on it.
Balance -3.90
[/color:pm6iwbg8]Let’s see if I can reach -100 before Halfwaytoheaven reaches +100.
The ironic thing is that I said this Division looked easier than the other, and the other was won by Fazza, who had handicap form, which is always the most solid kind.
December 31, 2009 at 19:39 #266756Jass jumps well, stays well, and has had a couple of promising runs this season. Favourite. [In addition to which, I need him to win or come second to get into the GN field.]
Punchestowns, not too far behind the best horse in training.

Gee, what a bad race. Maybe it can be blamed on the 40 minutes in the Parade Ring, or for Jass the trip from up North.
The jockey on Sherwoods Folly will probably get a fine/suspension as he raised his arm 3 times above his shoulder, even if he wasn’t using his whip I think the windmill action is outlawed.

Vicky showing how much it meant to her to retain the World Women’s Sprint Title last year.
Can’t have a bet on Victoria Pendleton at the World Track Cycling Championships, as Betfair don’t have any markets.
Going to have a bet on the aussie
Eagle Falls
in the AW Sprint race at Dubai on Saturday. Came second in the Newmarket Handicap a couple of weeks ago, burdened by my bet. The trainer David Hayes has gone over to Dubai to supervise, rather than leave it in the hands of one of his minions.
edit: it is the 3.15 race.
Erm, stupid question: Is this race on a straight track, or around a bend???
