That link above has had at least 1 channel with Sky HD running every night Zamorston…
Its got to be Bumble & Beefy

Theres also been a few Aussies/convicts in the chatbox… Happy days
December 9, 2010 at 19:44 #331786Yeah must admit I’ve been missing the humour of Bumble!
Saved that link now so will check it out for next test…
Cheers!
December 9, 2010 at 22:47 #331830Yes thanks for the link…..
Will come in handy I’m sure as my better half will no doubt be asleep in-front the tv with the mucky filth on(Desperate housewives, Sex in the city and Footballers wives.) but automatically wakes up when I turn over to the cricket with ‘I was watching that’……

Charles Darwin to conquer the World
December 15, 2010 at 01:01 #332655England best priced 13/8 for the third test.
I’d rather back that than Aussies or draw.
Top bat 1st inngs:
Eng Trott 9/2
Aus Clarke 5/1
Enjoy,

Series back on….
Charles Darwin to conquer the World
December 17, 2010 at 22:03 #333035I for one couldn’t! Had a fair chunk prior to the match on England at 7/4, was going swimmingly after day.
Damn that Mitch.
Gets tastier!
December 25, 2010 at 23:07 #333824I think England underperformed last time with the bat and they are still a lot stronger than the Aussies IMHO.
I’ve had £10 squids at 2/1 (Hills) for them to prove it.
Top bats: Eng A Strauss 4/1 (general)& Aus B Haddin at a big 12/1 (Ladcrooks).
Let’s hope it’s a cracker – should be a gigantic crowd.
And Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all you civilised cricket fans on here.

December 26, 2010 at 10:26 #333844Only managed to last til they went off for an early lunch (was a long day!) and found it difficult to find a stream too but got there in the end…
Absolutely delighted to wake up and see the position we found ourselves in. After only 2 or 3 overs when Watson had been dropped twice and Hughes hit Tremlett for 10 off his first over I started to fear the worst.
Excellent comeback from England and a superb effort from the three bowlers. Anderson being the main difference I reckon, must have taken a lot out of him last test with flying home and then back and not being that much there for the bowlers, totally different last night though and also pleasently surprised at how well Tim Bresnan did.
They’re coming home, the Ashes are coming home!
December 26, 2010 at 16:09 #333868Australia were awful. What the hell were England doing in Perth?!!!

December 26, 2010 at 17:07 #333882I read an absolutely hilarious article in the Mail about the sledging that’s been going on. Apparently, they were told to lay off Pieterson, as it just fires him up and he starts knocking the ball about with a vegeance! Unfortunately, poor old Ponting couldn’t resist responding to Pieterson’s sledging in the end!
There was another one of our lads whose sledging they weren’t supposed to repond to, but I can’t remember his name. Maybe, Bell.
I also found it a funny sight to see Tremlet at 6’8" surrounded by a lot of the rest of the team, after taking a wicket. He looked like an adult surrounded by children! And most of them seem 6’3", or at least 6′ plus.
I couldn’t find that article just now on the Mail Online site, but there were a number of others under ‘sledging’.
I know it can get rancorous with some of the Aussies, which is a shame. Patrick Collins, in his article, sounds very po-faced, but he does have a point, when it amounts to using it rancorously in an attempt to win by verbal intimidation.
I suppose that is the reality, where the Aussies are concerned, as I think they started it for that purpose, but at the level of banter I think it adds something to the game. Where Collins is right, is in cases such as when Prior was sledged after being hit by a bouncer. Unsurprisingly, perhaps, Prior challenged his nibs to a fight, after the game. There should be no place for outright rancour in the game.
December 26, 2010 at 17:33 #333884I have no problem with sledging, part of the game. Only if it is nasty and too personal is it beyond the pale. Which I guess does happen…not sure how you could find a balance, though I’m sure most cricketers do.
I too wondered if those drop catches would make a difference early on. Amazing, England utterly destroyed the Aussies fragile batting line up. I had Haddin at 12/1 and I thought if he was ever gonna top bat for me now would be the time. There is no way I could back Clarke again after his atrocious efforts thus far – he still looks out of touch!! (top scoring with 20 in a test match…what are the odds of that?!)
England now best priced 1/5 to win. As long as they keep their minds on the job they should win this within 4 days, weather permitting.
If they can get a 250-300 lead it really is all over.
So happy for them as they are a genuinely good team, and as the commentators on Sky were saying last night – we have more depth (and quality) than we have had since the 80’s.

December 27, 2010 at 04:40 #333935Ricky Ponting on the verge of cracking up I reckon.

Every run for England like a knife through his heart…a big score for Prior would be the highlight of the series so far for me after that no ball!
Come on England, lets drive it home this last session!!

What was he wetting himself about regarding Pieterson? There did appear to be a ‘hot spot’ on the bottom of the bat but that was nowhere near where the ball passed the edge, which was clear. A four-year-old could have seen that.
Did laugh when he tried remonstrating with square-leg ump Tony Hill after getting no change out of Aleem Dar. When Dar later recalled Prior for a no-ball, I thought Ponting might be about to spontaneously combust.
Pressure, I guess.

January 4, 2011 at 13:52 #334746Hey England retains Ashes
January 8, 2011 at 22:27 #335142Really pleased that England won the third test – they massively deserved it.
What a superb cricket team we have. Bashing the Aussies like they have been perennially bashing us feels good.

Well done to those that picked correct top bats/bowlers for the series – my selections were woeful.
England are a great price at 5/6 for the upcoming 7 match one day series against Aus.
Even with Anderson away for a while they should be too strong.
