Louis Romanet has issued an official apology in this morning’s Paris Turf. The race time was indeed given wrongly by 5sec 40!! Apparently they may have left the timer on the second winning post, which was used in the preceding race the Jean-Luc Lagardère. Oops!

Thanks P. Quite undestand the importance of rail movement, wind etc but have long assumed Timeform have a rep on-course for the big Irish/French meets to determine these factors, as they have here of course.
As the foreign pattern races tend to have form lines closely interwoven with those in the UK, I feel complementary timefigures would be a useful addition to TF’s foreign race coverage.
Promise no more quizzing you about your former employers.
I was in Halifax the other day so should have taken the opportunity to visit Timeform Towers but polite company, coffee and cakes in the majestic Piece Hall took precedence.<br>
