Seigemaster is definitely the classiest horse in this race but has always looked one paced to me and although he may have too much class for this company I’d still like to take him on.

Florida Son @ 9-1 and Sigma Digital @ 33-1 could both potentially go well.

Anyone else have any opinions on the race?

Bronte Bay has some decent form around Navan. Might go well at a decent price for Paul Flynn.

Expect Siegemaster to have too much class for all of them though. Ground was too quick for him at Christmas.

I had a look at this race earlier but have decided to leave it alone. I don’t really see much reason to take on Siegemaster, just a shame the 7/2 forecast price wasn’t accurate!
Siegemaster looks likely to run to his best form, and I don’t like quite a few of his opponents for one reason or another (stamina, ground, not run in novice chase LTO, etc)
Having said that, a shade below 2/1 doesn’t look great value so I will be sitting out unless he drifts.

I’m not betting, but I’ll be really pleased if Operation Houdini wins.

Siegemaster is undoubtedly a talented animal but he seriously needs to get his jumping sorted if he’s going to fulfill his potential. He was very lucky to get away with his mistake at the second last and Davy did very well to keep the partnership intact.

Bronte Bay and Florida Express both held every chance when crashing out but the third last is still a long way from home at Navan.

Thought Florida express would have won if had stayed upright, jockey hadnt even moved when fell at the third last. Even if florida express had found little, when eventually ridden, with the mistake that seigemaster made at the 2nd last FE would have been hard to beat IMO. But C’est la vie…
