Mark Johnston is next up. Another vote for Goodwood and more fish for the last meal ever.

1.What is your favourite holiday destination? Africa or Switzerland in winter. I would rather be in Scotland in summer but can’t get the time off.

2.Your favourite sport other than racing? To watch live, international rugby. To watch on TV, boxing. But, unfortunately, boxing is never on TV anymore so I never see it. Sometimes I watch old youtube clips of Mohammed Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Chris Eubank etc.

3.Who is your favourite band? The Dixie Chicks

4.Who would you most like to meet? The person who claims to be a vet and sends me abusive anonymous letters every so often.

5.Your favourite horse when you were growing up? Mill Reef

6.If you weren’t a trainer what would you be doing? I’d be a vet.

7.What is your favourite current television programme? As far as I can see, all the good stuff like Heartbeat and Taggart have gone. Almost never watch TV now.

8.Do you support a football team? No

9.Your favourite racecourse? Goodwood.

10.You have one last meal – what would you choose? Haddock and chips.
