An absolutely cracking renewal, with five individual Group One winners in action.
The top two in the market, Los Angeles and White Birch, fought out a rousing duel in the Mooresbridge Stake over C&D three weeks ago; the Coolmore colt looked sure to benefit from the run and is taken to confirm the form.
However, Kalpana and Anmaat will both provide stern opposition, despite both being on their seasonal reappearance, and the forecast rain over the weekend may well be in their favour.
However, i’m going to take an e/w chance with the Coolmore second string, Continuous. If the rain falls, his stamina may come to the fore and some of his rivals may not be quite at concert pitch yet.
Continuous 40-1 e/w.
May 24, 2025 at 18:00 #1731192I’ll go with White Birch at 11-4 in the hope that the rain gets into the ground a bit, though Los Angeles was well on top last time.
May 24, 2025 at 18:50 #1731199ANMAAT 7/1 – Decent price for a lto group 1 victor. Los Angeles way behind him that day. Worth a pop.
May 25, 2025 at 11:57 #1731230With you Chivers, Anmaat at 7s
May 25, 2025 at 12:07 #1731234Ghostwriter, boosted to 11/1
May 25, 2025 at 12:47 #1731236Royal Ryhme has the benefit of a run and looks decent e.w value for a yard hitting form
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
May 25, 2025 at 13:15 #1731239Anmaat 15/2 WIN.
May 25, 2025 at 14:48 #1731248Added Deepone at 125/1 EW and had some more on Anmaat at 11/1.
May 25, 2025 at 15:04 #1731249White Birch 11/4
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
May 25, 2025 at 15:08 #1731251The winner seems to have improved from 3 to 4, however Crowley could have waited for another 100 yds or so to make things a bit more interesting.
It was a very decent renewal.
May 25, 2025 at 15:09 #1731252Ouch White Birch
Continuous surely not ran to merit there

May 25, 2025 at 15:11 #1731253jockey made a choice to go inside, hindsight should have followed Anmaat

May 25, 2025 at 15:12 #1731254well that was a shocker, happens sometimes but that was poor
May 25, 2025 at 15:21 #1731256Prince of Wales should be a good race
May 25, 2025 at 15:31 #1731258I can’t stand hold up tactics on the flat.
99 times out of 100, there’s no need for it if you’re on the best horse.
Keane has fecked up twice in a row now on White Birch. Also, trying to come up the inside at the Curragh was so foolish.

Should have sussed out the pacemaker was always folding at some point with the way he missed the break and swept passed the whole field so soon so quick

“Agreed, Nathan. Had I known that he was going to be sacrificed as a pacemaker, I’d have saved my 50p each way.
Kalpana is the obvious one to take from the race. I couldn’t believe that she was Arc favourite in some lists this morning, but she’s run a corker there and will only get better as the season progresses.
