‘Money talks, money talks, dirty cash I want you, dirty cash I need you more’…So the song says and its good to see the money coming again for
Get Me Out Of Here
for the Coral Cup, 16/1 long gone,14,12,10 and now 8/1,i’m doing my bit here,so long as he turns up he goes off 7/2fav,its coming says ‘The Prophet’!
March 6, 2012 at 15:08 #395006Eclipse,this may seem strange but
Camelot
has as much chance of winning The Derby as
Frankel
had! He’s 3/1fav in both but I know which one I would call him a good thing for! He wont get the trip in a bus,I said the same about ‘Frankel’ and got slated for it….’Joni’……Ok I did say something else about him too!!!!!!
March 6, 2012 at 15:22 #395007There are times when you think sh*t I’ve ****** up here,ie missing the boat with
Sir des Champs
in the RSA,its easy to get blinkered and you have to at times or you wont stay loyal to your judgement. When I have a big opinion of one I stand firm even when others are showing they too are a bit special,I have that opinion of
Darlan
,I respect ‘Trifolium’ too but apart from those 2,I know there’s nothing else in the race I’ll be even interested in so what i do is back ‘Darlan’ and ‘Sir des Champs’ in a double just to compensate for the price loss,I will then go on to cover other ‘good things’ in Lucky 15/31’s,if you are going to get rich at this game its not from singles, you need to be in it to win it so i’m all for these sort of bets, straight Accies do not appeal though!
March 6, 2012 at 15:35 #395008By the main prize, I was meaning the Guineas rather than the Derby. Its 2009 since the Derby winner had contested a pattern race as a juvenile, there will be a few trainers in Newmarket hoping that trend is continued.
Having noted that the long term forecast is for very dry conditions, a top of the ground performer would appear to be very much the order of the season.March 6, 2012 at 17:47 #395027Eclipse,this may seem strange but

I never slated you for your Derby comments old boy! Just everything else

March 6, 2012 at 17:51 #395029Not wanting to sidetrack the Cheltenham thread but have to agree with EF. If I had backed Camelot for the Guineas I would desperately be hoping to see him run in a trial. How poor were the majority of AOB’s runners first time out last year? They all improved massively for the run. Last year’s 2,000 saw the first 3 places filled by horses that had a prep run.
Perhaps it will be different this year given the incredibly mild winter.

March 6, 2012 at 18:21 #395036I be shocked if CAMELOT wins the 2000 guineas being a son of Montjeau he is made for the derby not 2000 guineas. am hope he runs in a derby trail instead.
Gord,TOP OFFER or BORN TO SEA will win 2000 guineas both be stars this year.
March 7, 2012 at 08:25 #395107KF: And now the money starts to come for First Lieutenant in the Jewson
March 7, 2012 at 08:44 #395110KF: And now the money starts to come for First Lieutenant in the Jewson

That scenario wouldn’t bother me at all GDC,like I said earlier I have backed
First Lieutenant
for 3 races, obviously I was 100% confident he would go the RSA route,if things do go A*se over Tit and my 2 ‘Gigginstown’ horses do a bit of role reversal at least I’m on this fellow at 65,60 and 55 for the ‘Jewson’.Had I taken the same prices about
Sir des Champs
for the RSA then I would be sitting dandy.I dont want them running in the same race!

Sea of thunder

I could be very happy with my Ante-Post Portfolio at the moment if it wasn’t for my ‘Gigginstown’ dramas!
Lady Luck they all get there now!

Prepare to be shocked then darren!
I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t win in a canter myself,he floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee, this fellow!
March 7, 2012 at 11:51 #395141Not sure Horatio Hornblower will get a run! How do they decide in the bumper? Ballot or those who have run in the better races?
Our lad was in a Grade One for his debut
March 7, 2012 at 14:21 #395180KF: Well before i get totally disillusioned with this seasons events I have backed First Lieutenant EW for the Jewson at 20s with Billys!
Still feel that he will run in the RSA but would rather have a nice priced bet (as i do for the RSA) running just in case as i’d be chewed if I had to back him for it later at 7s or 8s

Did exactly the same thing myself this morning GDC,incredibly he’s 10’s and 8’s with everyone else, still 20/1 now!
March 7, 2012 at 14:57 #395196A word of warning:
William Hill are NOT non runner no bet on the Jewson, hence the 20/1.
March 7, 2012 at 15:06 #395197Cheers Tommy,I just cant see the logic of running both
Sir des champs
and
First Lieutenant
in the same race when they are both tailormade for their ‘original’ targets! Mouse Morris is very confident that on good ground his horse will take all the beating so why jeopardise that year long plan now, with one of the owners other horses!
March 8, 2012 at 08:50 #395299Well its twitchy Bum cheek time! First thing I do every morning now is check the RP website to see which one of my Ante-Post horses is not going to Cheltenham, thats the price you have to pay when betting Ante-Post,thus far I’ve been pretty lucky as 8 of my 10 ‘Big Players’ are still playing, however my biggest player ever is out
Spirit Son
,that hurt but i’m pretty confident i’ll recoup those losses from the race itself.
First Lieutenant
running in at least something could be a pivotal point and Good ground for the Albert Bartlett is crucial for
Sea Of Thunder
reversing form with this ‘Boston Bloody Bob’! Day One is critical,I’m very confident about
Darlan
,he just needs to jump to win.
Al Ferof
,at worst needs to be in the 3 so I’m looking forward to him laying it down to ‘speedy Gonzalaz’ after the last and confirming why I hold the ‘Supreme’ hurdle in such high regard,
Quantitiveeasing
has top weight,he’s not the biggest horse in the world and can get low at his fences but there’s a lot more to come from this fellow so again a place at worse wont hurt the pocket, obviously I’m aiming for 8 winners so places mean nothing in that respect but my finances mean more than numbers.2 winners a day, sounds easy!
