1 Second for 5 lengths…Wow….they must be on some serious juice to cover that distance in a stride/second.
Ah Ramonti/Refuse to bend….Wow really coz there 3yr old careers were awful and just looking back at there form its hard to believe that Kalanisi couldnt give them a good beating nevermind RVW/STS/MCM.
August 1, 2009 at 17:28 #242123BTW….what i am trying to say is that the Queen Anne has been a weak race for most of the decade. I agree with you Paco Boy is not a very classy Group 1 Winner but he is a Dual Group 1 winner nonetheless.
August 2, 2009 at 23:26 #242333I’m as big a fan of Sea The Stars as the next guy, and I backed him accordingly in the Eclipse. The form of that race has worked out sensationally.
However, after the Eclipse I was left with the feeling that Sea The Stars could be beaten in the future. Rip Van Winkle has gotten closer to him as the season has progressed and I thinkhe might turn Sea The Stars over if they meet again.
Maybe Sea The Stars was idling. Maybe he had loads more left in the locker. But the fact of the matter is this: for the first out of the three times they have met, Rip Van Winkle was travelling better than Sea The Stars.
Mastercraftsman is a different kettle of fish. I think 1m2f will suit him down to the ground. If the ground is good to soft or softer when he meets Sea The Stars he will win. He loves a bit of cut. Maybe Sea The Stars won’t run in that scenario. I don’t know why, because he won the Beresford last year on soft ground.
I love how Mastercraftsman digs in when something comes to him, refusing to buckle. But I just wonder if Sea The Stars might have too many guns for him.
I would have to think long and hard before I ever oppose Sea The Stars, but there is a chance that the above two horses might have the ability to defeat him.
I can’t wait!
