    Thanks Mike.

Ah Jesus Gordon, that old chestnut – ‘for now’. He loves doing that.

Royal Bond obviously going to be key.

Mullins quote in his stable tour regarding Ferny Hollow…

“It’s nice to have Ferny Hollow in the yard and he should be a lot easier to ride over hurdles as he likes to get on with the job. The type of speed that he shows I think Paul (Townend) will enjoy riding him over the minimum trip.”

Good to see Ferny Hollow settle in his race today. Looked more professional in that respect compared to last season.

He still pulled but not quite as hard as last year

Certainly a very positive start for both him and Bob ollinger

Not sure what route they are going with Appreciate It but he made a pleasing start over hurdles in a 2 mile novice at Cork today.

Find it difficult to believe the bookmakers needed to shorten him from 1-8 to 1-12 in today’s race. Were lots of punters really having £100 to £800?

Youd think ballymore would be the likeliest of the 3 options

Ballymore for sure, i don’t think i’ve seen a poorer maiden hurdle he could’ve found for him.

Looking forwards to seeing flinteur Sacre tomorrow. On at 25/1 for this so I’m
Happy at the minute, seems crazy it’s now only 12/1 having not ran but Barry was highly positive on him on a couple review shows so I guess he’s influenced the price a bit

He will always go off shorter than his form should make him just due to the name

    Hopefully he looms good tomorrow

How immature and unprofessional was Flinteur Sacre there! Very rare for a henderson inmate.
Don’t get me wrong despite the keeness and jumping errors I still thought he should still win. But he was flat at the end, maybe due to being pulled back the whole race by Nico.
Looks so babyish it makes me think he’s a horse for next year as he seems like he needs to learn so much before he’s a proper horse. Wouldn’t give up on him off a strong pace but that was so poor, the jumping was the poor thing, the keenness I can forgive because he will get stronger pace races in future but the jumping wasn’t good in the most part

Flinteur Sacre bombed out but I wouldn’t write him off completely.
Needs a race at a decent pace. Betfair Hurdle and Supreme Hurdle would suit him although I can’t see him beating Ferny Hollow.

In Ireland they let the odds on hot shots in a race bowl along in front quite often, particularly if they expect a slow race. So that that their superiority (on paper at least) isn’t compromised. Pulling him back the whole way, being keen, jumping awkward. Bit of a disaster all round today.

Hes gonna need loads of runs to be streetwise enough for a supreme

Might come too soon for him

Couldn’t have him at this stage

Yeah I often wonder why they don’t just let those keen types just bowl along, I know they have the risk of going off far too quick but I’d rather that than pull them the whole way. I think they do it to try and help him learn to settle and basically teach him to become better. So I guess they raced him like that with the long term in mind rather than that particular race. Don’t like making excuses for long odds on shots as you really shouldn’t but there was a lot wrong with that debut and clearly will be much better in future but the bubble has burst a little but not completely

I don’t think Henderson would not run him just because his future is in the future.
Having said that even My Tent or Yours had more experience at this stage and he’d take a hard pull at any pace
