Best Supreme Novices for many years. In my opinion third home Jezki put up a performance good enough to win an average renewal.

Possibly "outstayed", but MOTY stayed the trip alright. Found plenty up the hill to go away from every other runner in the race. MOTY was always going to travel better than "stayer" Champagne Fever. Ruby’s mount not long ago under serious consideration for the Albert Bartlett. On the cards to pull out more under pressure; just as he did last year. Put me in mind of Binocular, beaten by Captain Cee Bee.

Champagne Fever is a top class novice who’d already won at The Festival / on course and got his own way in front today. Suspect MTOY was a little below his Newbury best, but not by much. Confident the Henderson horse will be stronger and wiser next year, where he’ll be a serious Champion Hurdle contender.

Totally agree Ginger, it was a a fantastic race. It was a great spectacle to see the four fancied runners jumping the second last together. It looked done of the races of the week beforehand and didn’t let us down.
