Early stab at this.
Minella Premier 33/1 SkybetOctober 30, 2024 at 05:42 #1711201Salvator Mundi 10-1
November 24, 2024 at 18:45 #1713960I loved Mister Meggit last season for bumpers and he made the perfect start at Aintree couple of weeks ago.
33’s in a few little multiples.
November 25, 2024 at 16:32 #1714050I have Minella Premier as a Turners horse
The last few good crops from his sire Shantou produced stayers and there’s no real pace on the Dams sideNovember 25, 2024 at 17:07 #1714053MarkTT, I was unsure if it would be the Gallaghers Novice Hurdle or the Supreme Novice for next year, a soft ground Cheltenham is what I was hoping for. I think the Turners is now a Novice Handicap Chase, so not an option yet.
Tiz, I like Mr Meggit, but was put off by his bumper run at Aintree in April, where (according to the RP) ”vet said gelding bled from nose” As he has started out over hurdles at 2m4f, the Gallaghers would seem to be most likely. If he doesn’t bleed again, then potentially a GC horse in the future.
November 25, 2024 at 20:06 #1714063The Gallaghers is now the Turners mate ( they’ve gone from sponsoring the intermediate chase to the intermediate hurdle )
November 26, 2024 at 18:26 #1714121Cor blimey, that one slipped passed me, Thanks for that MarkTT..
December 15, 2024 at 19:40 #1715531Kaid D’authie is an early bet for me at 20-1
January 1, 2025 at 02:23 #1717217Romeo Coolio for me @ 10/1.
Amazed he’s not single figures. Sliced through the fog over Christmas.
Am sure Mullins will have a few but which few from loads of entries.
Romeo is trained by Elliott and I can’t see him starting in any other race as he’s a pure 2 mile specialist.Value Is EverythingJanuary 8, 2025 at 14:41 #1717705Decided to hedge my investment on The New Lion for the Turners by taking a little of the 28s on the exchange for this.
I could see them coming here in a wet Cheltenham and, judging by how he lobbed along happily in the Challow, I think the faster pace here could well suit him. Skelton thinks he’ll still go for the Turners but best to have belt and braces…January 14, 2025 at 09:11 #1718021Usually the Supreme winner is pretty obvious by this stage but not this year. Salvator Mundi jumped like a seal last time but still won easily. Nothing else has done much other than The New Lion but his wins have come over further. A real head scratcher of a race
January 14, 2025 at 13:49 #1718030I’ll be keeping a sharp eye on Donwave (a Henderson entry) who is currently at 33/1.
January 21, 2025 at 17:13 #1718579So Minella Premier didnt make it.

I was looking at the entries for the Limestone lad Hurdle at Naas on Sunday, obviously Anzadam being the most likely winner, but I was drawn to the William Durkin entry Laafi. Probably in there for place money/experience, but was a half decent horse for William Haggis and has won his only start over hurdles at Limerick over Xmas.
VC bet at 50/1 4 places is worth a small nibble for me.January 25, 2025 at 14:11 #1718855Kawaboomga 33s ew
Got a good word after first start for the stable.
February 19, 2025 at 14:13 #1720882Workahead 12-1 ew for an interest
February 19, 2025 at 17:30 #1720890Evens looks a good price for Kopek Des Bordes assuming he gets there in one piece. Like most I was very impressed with him the last day and can’t see anything with form to rival that performance.
There’s something drawing me to Sky Lord as the each way bet. I don’t think he ran any race in the Moscow Flyer and I will back him pre-race should he be confirmed an intended runner. Currently 40s with Unibet and I am tempted.
February 19, 2025 at 17:59 #1720891Kopek Des Bordes 16s (antepost from late December)
Another tempting cash out offer on the table (as per my Sir Gino/CHill one, which i did cash out).
