Does anyone know the intended target for fivefoethree willie mullins horse ive had sum 55/1 on bfair for the royal and sun chase but not sure where he will go?.The arkle or this?.Proven chelt winner beating trafford lad etc last year in ballymore.Has the horse had a setback?.Just any news would be great but this proven chelt winner over a trip that i feel will suit him lot better then the arkle feel 55/1 very fair price any info or thoughts about the horse would be great

Won´t run until at least Christmas time and might be kept over hurdles for this season (World Hurdle the aim) and run a full season over fences next year.

If he goes over fences it´ll be the Sun Alliance they target

Thanx for the info what do you think to the price 55/1 for Royal sunaliance chase?.Alot of ifs and buts but if he goes chasing and gets there in 1 piece been a proven festival winner 55/1 is way to big but thats a big if thats the beauty off antepost betting can get sum real value.Or can do your dough even if your horse dosent run :(

I´ve got a variety of each way doubles running up on Hurricane Fly and Fiveforthree at 16/1 and 25´s for various Cheltenham races so i hope he at least runs in the race.

55´s is great value even at the moment I´d take it.

Totesport have just eased Fivforthree out to 20s, which IMO isnt a bad price, really like him for this and hope he can come back in decent form.

Ballyfitz and What a Friend go head to head today, I think whatever wins will be a major contender for the SA. My vote goes to What a Friend, was very impressed by his debut over fences.

Can’t argue with that performance. Shortly to be ante-post favourite, given the Nicholls connection?

Think the winner is totally underated, and is available at 14-1. Think he is the best 3m novice I have seen so far this year.

Can’t say I am anything other than disappointed by Ballyfitz, looks a good winner and the 2nd to Bally’ at least meeting got beat yesterday also to diminish his previous form.
Being optimistic stable has been in better form and despite what many say he doesn’t need soft ground. Also will relish big field, fast pace.
Being realistic that didn’t look good enough for RSA…won’t be topping up for now, probably one more look before Cheltenham

Usually a very tough race JohnJ but that’s an amazing price considering nothing else has looked outstanding..can’t see it lasting long

Didn’t like the way the winner moved, or his head-carriage, but it didn’t stop him jumping and winning well.

Didn’t strike me as having the right attitude for a Sun Alliance.

You could be confusing greeness with keeness Colin. He looks a right prospect to me and I am looking beyond the Sun Alliance to perhaps even him being a future Gold Cup horse.

He’s only 5 years old and travelled really well all the way round until Sam got a little bit serious with him……I agree he has a funny head carriage and he wandered around a bit that’s perfectly understandable for a young horse……despite that he was still going forward at a rate off knotts that left Ballyfitz a pertempts hurdle winner for dead.

Apart from the ease in which he travelled he loooks to have a great eye on him and apart from one mistake he measured each fence with precision which willbe a huge asset to him in the Sun Alliance.

The bookies were obviously not that impressed butt hey’re a short sighted lot at the best of times  I really think JohnJ is on to something here and at 14/1 he looks a great EW bet

I agree with JohnJ, I thought the horse was extremely impressive and I think for once the bookies have under-reacted. He’s easily beaten arguably the best novice seen out prior to yesterday, has won on ground ranging from good to firm to soft, will be six years old come Cheltenham, from a top yard – where are the negatives?

OK he looked a little green but thats hardly a surprise. 14’s is a very price IMO.

I really do like the way he travels and jumps, he does get three miles, although the Sun Alliance will be a stiffer test of stamina. I do think he is the best of the potential SA candidates, I wasn’t overly impressed with Trafford Lad, I don’t think he is as neat at his obstacles as What a Friend. 14-1 is good value in my book.

Ballyfitz would be my favourite at the present time! early days .

Well and truly put in his place by "What a friend" but i have a nagging doubt about the winners style, i wouldnt be surprised if "Ballyfitz"reversed
the form in the Sun Alliance, both smart 3m Novices though!

He does look like a bit of a freak GWbut have another look and see how well he measures his fences. There’s often something odd about exceptional horses that make them different to others and being different doesn’t always mean they aren’t good horses.

I watched him twice again and the more I looked the more I liked him…..I notice Corals make him joint favourite for the race and I see he may run in Ireland next…………..wins there he’ll be 5/1so best bet him nowr athe rthan waiting

Was a good performance but there’s been just as good performances by others. Think Colin has it right. High head carriage and has found little in the past. Attitude alarm bells ringing. To judge the race by Ballyfitz is wrong, obviously did not run to form.
