Nothing tells you more about the lack of interest in summer jumps than the fact that:

    a) the night before the race but there isn’t a thread about the race on this forum, and
    b) You can go to the Racing Post website home page at 5.40pm the day before a Cl1 handicap and it isn’t even mentioned anywhere.

The only way I was reminded it was on was seeing it listed in the handicap competition on the Competitions forum here!

Anyway, looks a day of competitive racing with decent prize money, good fields despite good ground and hot weather. I hope they get a bumper crowd.

No idea who will win, but I do like Parisencore.

Went with The Big Lense. Not difficult to see a couple of these being too good for him, but I can see him making the frame, and certainly wouldn’t have him as the outsider of the field

Cobden landed this last year with a very cool ride, and I’ve went with him for a repeat with Sure Touch at 9-1. I think that he’s got a seriously good chance.

My second selection is Prince Escalus 25-1 ew

A race for two selections for me. I’m with Prince Escapes at 22-1 ew, and Parisencore at 17-2. Parisencore the bigger punt of the pair

With me my fancy is Mole Court, having been at Court myself last week, and still having to attend if called upon.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

Peter Bowen has a great record in this race and I think his Statuario,
albeit he’s on his highest mark, looks progresive and should do well.
