Summer Maidens

As I bet almost exclusively on the a/w the summer is a pretty quiet time for me and last year I spent a lot of time researching non-hcp races on the flat. The best type of race seemed to be 2yold maiden races and by the end of June I had come up with a system which went on to do very well throughout July & August and also scraped a profit in September. Now I realise that last summer was a particularly bad time for the bookies and that it may have been a bit of a fluke so I am going to continue paper trading only this year. I promise you though that if the results are good I will be absolutely lumping on next year so I thought it might be interesting to post the system selctions here.

I hope to give roughly 150 selections between 1st June – 31st August and provide 45% winners at an average price of 11/8. I will keep a record using 1pt level stakes as I believe this is the best method to test the validity of the system.

At least the system got a winner again today although this time the price really was tiny. Quoted at 2/5, avaiable at 4/11 last night but an S.P. of 2/11.

Pearl Grey won at the ridiculously small price of 1/12, quoted at 1/5 and available at 1/4 early.<br>Billy Whip Top ran a decent race to finish 3rd at 12/1, quoted at 12/1 and avaiable at 22/1 early.<br>Red Trance was disappointing finishing unplaced at 2/1, quoted at 11/10 and available at 6/5 early. He was a significant drifter in the on-course market.
