Who decides the times of the races? Are they on planet earth?

    Monday 23 April

    FFos Las 5.45
    Cork 5.50
    Windsor 5.55
    FFos Las 6.15
    Cork 6.20
    Windosr 6.25

So jumps racing at Cork will clash into Windsor meaning split screen then a 20 minute gap surely even a lame brain can realise that they will clash it’s not good for the bookmakers, the punters, the viewers and ATR who have to show the races.

Thankfully, Steepledowns always hold their races until a suitable gap appears.

Cork is foreign racing why should we change our times to fit in?

The only problem I see is there should be 15 minute gaps between Ffos Las and Windsor

Or why Cork should alter their times to accomodate UK racing.

They will clash and one meeting will not get a fair airing on At The Races if you are a racecourse surely you want maximum publicity you need to space the races so they do not clash do you really want a split screen for the sake of moving a race to 5 minutes later and then have nothing for about 15+ minutes.

Cork is jump racing so it will clash with Windsor it’s not as if it will be a 1 minute 5 furlong race the minimum time it can run is 4mins for a 2 mile race.

The Bookmakers. No Levy on the Irish stuff.

It appears Darryl Williams agrees with me about the timings already had one split screen.

    You are perfectly correct Steve.
I noted Wolves put all their races back 5 mins last Thursday despite the only other meeting being in Ireland at Tipperary.
Sort of scuppers the thought that Irish racing is of no consequence to British racing.
Less money will be bet on British races thus producing less levy if they clash with other races even if they are in Ireland.

Yesterday all British racing was scheduled not to clash with the Curragh, obviously on this occasion someone has failed to pull their finger out.
It’s not rocket science, all that needed to happen was for Ffos Las to run their races 5 mins earlier and Windsor 5 mins later (apart from their first).
I see they even managed to run the 6.45/6.50 and 6.55 all at the same time

Today they have moved race times at Wolverhampton to five minutes later than advertised…. despite the fact there is no other meeting starting until Punchestown at 3.55.

I just don’t understand the people who decide these things I really don’t. :?:
