    £98.31 (+£40 AP)

3 tiny bets today. £2 on each.

    Naas 2.20 Killer Crow
    Chep 1.30 Smoking Dixie
    Villarreal to beat Barcelona

Haven’t had time to look at the cards properly.

Well that was really quite unlucky with Villarreal, Barcelona equalised in the last minute. I also had £5 on Drumviredy.

    £87.31

Just one bet today, a place lay. Will update later after it’s done.

I’ve not forgotten about this thread. Just got a few things in my life that I need to get ironed out at the moment. Dropped out of my Masters as it was leading me down a path I didn’t really care for, so just getting plans in place for something else. This thread’s really been excellent for my punting as it’s helping me to learn where my strengths are, how to control my emotions and what a ‘back’/’lay’ is to me. Especially good getting other eyes on my punting and helping me to improve.

Not been punting a great deal recently, just a couple ante-post punts. Had Mount Mews and Peregrine Run the other weekend – 2nd + 2nd. Backed Mailshot, Politologue, L’Ami Serge + Pistol Park on Saturday – 1st 2nd 3rd 2nd. Couple of bets on Sunday that returned nothing (Alblak Des Places + Killer Crow). Yesterday was very good with Captain Redbeard + a football treble. Today was good with Tisbutadream. Lost a little after, but still a nice bit of profit.

I might be backing Measureofmydreams (sic?) in the Thyesusodkjdnsjs Chase in Ireland. Cannot ignore that NH Chase form. I say “might be backing” because I could end up backing 5 or 6 of them. They are definitely plotting with Thunder And Roses. 100% plot job. Whether tomorrow’s the day, I don’t know. I could look into the race properly but the problem is that practically everything’s going to be a plot. Rogue Angel’s a definite plot, but I’m rather hoping he’s a Grand National plot.

Asylo looks interesting in the 3.45. I like his form very much. Can’t believe Snow Falcon’s 9/2 in the 1.50. I know he’s got to reverse form with the front 2, but still, not a great deal needed to turn things around. They’re playing games with Mister First’s mark and he runs in the 2.25 at GP.

I think I’ll probably just end up backing Asylo.

Not clinical at all. Should’ve won if they’d taken their chances.

Anyway, plenty of notebook horses out today. One winner should be enough to recoup most/all of my outlay.

    1.30 Broken Soul 5.9
    1.50 Lyvius 12.0
    3.00 Fair Return 13.5
    3.10 Remiluc 6.6
3.40 Mr Bachster 5.6 Bit annoyed I missed the price on him, was waiting for a tiny drift and then next thing I know he’s 3 points shorter
3.50 Duncomplaining 8.0 NAP another bugger that I was waiting for a price for, finally clicked at 8.0 and now 9.4 grrrr, whatever, he’ll win

£5 on each of the top 5, £20 on the nap.

Will set up a multiple too.

It’s 1.01 he goes handicapping after today and he’s here for a little spin, but I like King of Country in the 1.30. £2 910s.

3.00 Fair Return 13.5 nowhere, coming off 416 day break
    3.10 Remiluc 6.6 2nd, done by a filthy 303-days-off 25/1 shot

Mr Bachster won above + lost a bit overall.

    Premier League tonight.

I would be very surprised if at least one of Burnley or Swansea didn’t win at home vs Leicester and Southampton respectively. Win singles, level stakes. Chucked them in a win treble with Boro-WBA U2.5 goals at 14/1.

I live in Swansea and watch them a lot, and their recent home form leaves a lot to be desired. The home fans can get a bit restless if things don’t go their way as well, and they regularly concede goals with their leaky defence. I do think they’re more effective away, the same that can be said of Southampton, who were atrocious at the weekend albeit with a vastly different team. However their record against Swansea is pretty good and with Redmond and Tadic upfront they’re likely to cause problems. I’d therefore be tempted by a score draw, perhaps >2.5 goals or both teams to score.

My theory is based purely on their new manager + Southampton’s direness. I was very impressed by Swansea against Liverpool, I thought they pressed and defended very well as a team.

Well done Zark, Burnley left it late though! Big gutsy win for Swansea, you’re right that Clement has helped galvanise them. Southampton are very up and down…

Burnley dominated, so got exactly what they deserved.

Is that a polite way of calling them ****? Gutted I’ve not got more on at 6s and 7s for them to finish in the bottom half. Must be a 7/4 shot now.
