It’s not a case of letting form get in the way forecast, sorry i’m not trying to shoot you down here or anything but he possibly ran the worst race of his life at catterick before today and basing a decision because he had the best (and only) course figure doesn’t seem logical at all

im happy to get the discussions started…………..im never bitter

now looking at williams last run im not surprised he ran bad………..look who he was up against but the ground was heavy today which slows the pace down

I’ll be interested in both your figures for the 9.05 at Kempton tomorrow. Out of 13 runners THREE are wearing first-time visors (Cumani, E Dunlop and Cecil no less) and another is wearing first-time blinkers.

I’m thinking of forcing myself to have a bet in it. I’m also thinking of popping down the local bookies ( a mile away  ) to witness it.

Not the most inspiring card at Kempton tomorrow. The only top rated that looks like it will go off at an E.W. price is Majehar in the 6.05 currently 14-1 but beware this is an Apprentice Handicap and the lad is one of the least experienced in the race.

It will be worth watching the prices on my top rated in the later races as a few are borderline E.W. bets

wow what a horrible days racing oh well

    605 kempton

mista rossa and dance the star are looking the best two with a place on kings supreme

    635
so so char and one oi are looking best win bets would of placed millfield and takito but too short

    705
i would not bet this race but astonishment win and fat cat e/w

    735
zinbar looks great but a place only on kurtanella and evergreen dancer but again odds low

    805
makaam is carrying but looks the best as expressive with a place only on deo valente

    835
not 100% on this one but if i had to then assail and cut n thrust would be my pick….sam sharp and satwa gold placed but again odds reflecting

Why do want to have a go at this race in particular?

It is the right time of day for me to have my late afternoon nap, and still study the form when I wake up.

I know its nasty – but that means I’m almost sure to find something at the prices I like.

Gerald I am hoping you to my advise on this race and put some money in your pocket. It was the only good advise I gave for the whole card!!

    What an aweful nights racing.

Mr F. It would be interesting to see how this works out over a longer period and with a little twist. Perhaps only taking the top two in smaller races.

well i have the stats for every course since 29-june 2009………….i have been doing this for just over 4 months but when realised it works i started taking account more and recording all the info…

i now have a small picture on what tracks to do and wot ones not to

i hope by the end of the year to have a better picture………..lingfield has the best record so far

the data i collect is top two speedsters winning position and the forecasts and tricasts

i find placing the top two when the odds are high is making the most money,as betting e/w on every horse is not always wise but does get some realy big odd horses

its easier if you have the whole picture
Note: Figures to the left of the horse name are Topspeed ratings for the horse’s last nine races. Ratings are adjusted for weight. The superior figure to the left of these ratings represent the
horse’s finishing positions, the superior characters to the right of the ratings represent the going and distance of the race. Best ratings (to the right of the horse names) are adjusted for
weight and reflect a horse’s best rating in the period to date starting two season ago i.e. if the current season is 2003 then performances in 2001, 2002 and 2003 would count towards
best ratings. Best ratings are surface specific i.e only the All-weather races count towards best ratings if today’s race is on the All-weather. Official ratings in non-handicaps reflect each
horse’s latest published mark and are not adjusted for age and weight. Base ratings shows the master ratings unadjusted for age and weight.

Sorry Actuary, in the end I didn’t bother, and I made my first ever meringue instead. A little bit of a disaster, but it was edible. Had seen a progamme the previous evening where someone had made a gooseberry meringue. Don’t have any gooseberries but have loads of plums in the house, so I added some tinned rhubarb to them to make it more tart. How the hell were meringues invented/discovered in the first place? I whisked the egg whites for about 20 minutes, and it still wasn’t good enough. I can’t believe that at some stage someone separated out the eggwhites, and whisked and whisked and whisked to see what would happen.

Hi Taff. There’s a few people who use UKracestats. They occasionally post in the main forum, when the website is down!

No interest at all in the first 2 AW

If the tissue price of 10-1 Kingsgate Castle(v1) is available must be a solid E.W. A couple of non-runners to his inside wouldn’t go a miss as 9 is a bit to wide over 6f. Dynamo Dave still isnt sure if he is a sprinter or middle distance horse. LTO on the AW was running over 10f!!

Baby Josr 12-1 looks the pick of a modest bunch in the last. The trip would be questionable in better company but solid E.W. claims

    another days racing done

had a excellent day,now i know you are all doing your own ratings and i must be one of the few that uses pure data which i do not change, adjust or anything

i go to racing post and open the course page, click on the course and click print outs, then buy the speed stats that i want for the day

this gives you a good picture of what you need……….now you all know what your doing so i look at the official rating and look at the form in the speed format……the horse that has ran to or above its rating is the most likely winner
