Hi,
Does anyone know the whereabouts of sonofvic? He had a good novice hurdle season and then ran grand crus close in a novice chase. Disappointed next time out before taking a fall in the pertemps and cheltenham I think it was.
Has only ran twice since.
Has he been retired? Could he potentially go hunter chasing
In the spring? If any one has any news it would be nice to know
December 20, 2014 at 20:21 #499105He hasn’t exceeded any of the prizemoney criteria that would exclude him from turning out in Points and hunter chases this winter, so an appearance in that sphere can’t be ruled out.
He’s definitely not in with Rose Loxton this season – she’s got only Current Event and Prospect Wells to represent her following the retirement of Gwanako and sidelining through injury of Join Together.
There’d be a few ex-Paul Nicholls inmates newly recruited to Jack Barber’s 41-deep string this winter, of which Aerial has already won. I’ve not seen or heard Sonofvic’s name in dispatches as yet, though as a horse originally trained by Jack’s grandfather Richard a return to the Beaminster operation wouldn’t be at all inappropriate.
