Had some fair form on the flat for the Bowlby’s and had his third run over hurdles this afternoon at Newbury.<br>Showed some promise (as he had in his previous 2 starts) and now he qualifies for a handicap mark looks one to bear in mind for a novice handicap.

Has been given a mark of 95 (which may be a couple of pounds too high). <br>Has an entry at Huntingdon on Friday.

Finished a fair 5th and should pick up a little novice hcap if dropped a couple of pounds.

Runs in a maiden hurdle at Chepstow this evening and would have place chances.

You may have noticed Smoothly never made it to Uttoxeter. Unfortunately he’s out for the season after straining a tendon. He’s having treatment and hopefully he’ll be back before the end of the year.
