I’m off to York on Saturday, so I have to get behind Hyperfocus.

This will be the fourth time I’ve bet him when I’m there, and he hasn’t won yet. I think that the going could be in his favour on Saturday.

He’s 14-1 at the moment, but I think that I might be able to better that come Saturday

Conditions should be ideal for Magical Spirit and Hyperfocus, while although I’ve never bet It Just Takes Time before, he’s a horse I like. Ground concerns possibly for Summerghand, but dangerous to write off of this mark.

With a busy week ahead, maybe best to sit it out, and changing my mind on this every five minutes, but I’ll no doubt buckle at last minute.

I thought for the prize money this was a really poor lineup, only attracting 15 as well, nothing rated near the rating ceiling of 105 and actually something rated 107 would have got in here given it didn’t fill. In fact if you take Lethal Levi out you’ve basically got yourself a run of the mill 0-95. I guess probably because its the Stewards Cup next weekend worth a fair bit more and most would rather wait for that. Summerghand has won much better races than this most seasons and the fact he’s not even top weight here in this company tells you how well handicapped he is. Do they want to actually win and get a penalty for the Stewards Cup though? He’s actually on 100 in the Stewards Cup as the weights closed early and would carry a penalty.

I’ll go for The Green Man here, top on my figures and progressive this season at this trip. I’d be worried about the class rise normally but this isn’t much better than Class 3 with a lot of exposed types in the race.
