RIP Sir Valentino
Was going to watch the race later but will give it a miss now.
Condolences to all who loved and cared for him.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 9, 2017 at 19:21 #1331330Sad end to a wonderful days racing. They tried so hard to save him. RIP
December 9, 2017 at 20:36 #1331346Looked a very bad fall. It was quite obvious that some part of his body was badly injured.
Rest in Peace Sir Valentino!

Are you sure?
December 9, 2017 at 22:36 #1331364When the horse fell the forelegs were pulled apart, I suspect an internal bleed of some kind from the injury.

Seriously? It was one of the softest falls I have ever seen. His trainer says the same. I honestly think you over egg every pudding when it comes to the sad demise of a thorougbred.
Sorry, not wanting to be controversial but……
December 10, 2017 at 08:15 #1331413You have to watch the fall again. Every time a horse lands head first with it’s legs torn apart it is a very bad fall. No matter how soft it was.
As crepello suggested internal bleeding is very likely plus some injury to the neck. Would someone like to run at full speed, stumble and then have your head underneath you?
Any volunteers??December 12, 2017 at 02:24 #1331689“Any volunteers??”
You appear to be the expert, so I’ll suggest you show us and then we can play the replay over and over and over and over again and make our comments on what we observe. How does that sound?

How does that sound? But first you should go and take a ****. Maybe your brain will finally start thinking like it should. It is not natural for a horse to sprawl it’s legs that far and to stop the fall with it’s head. That’s a fact and that is always a horrible injury. But why do you care? It didn’t happen to you.
December 12, 2017 at 09:57 #1331705Apparently they are doing a post mortem so we should find out in due course. Won’t bring him back though. R.I.P.
