the former Gimcrack winner broke a foreleg racing at Jebel Ali on Friday and has been put down.
RP reports his owner had hoped to give the horse a swansong at Royal Ascot before going to stud in New Zealand.
One of my favourite horses, Roseblossom.
Quirky, speedy, cunning and when it all fell right – the pace, the cut in the ground, his mood, the unbreachable wall of horses, the correct level of competition – a
proper
racehorse.
He died doing what he loved and he shall be sadly missed.
RIP Sir Gerry.
