As Grasshopper once said, "couldn’t hit a bull’s arse with a banjo."

Tell me about it imsomniac, my £100 bet on Spain to win the tournament already looks dodgy, just hope Argentina can bail me out !

The weight of expectation and all that…

I was more shocked at Torres’s first touch ( what 1st touch ? ) and lack of fitness. His bady language screamed that all was not well with El Scouser. Ditto Iniesta, who looked jaded.

Switzerland defended really well and were obviously drilled to the minute by Herr Hitzfeld, a master tactician. When any team camps outside their eighteen yard box with two banks of four, it is extremely difficult for the opposition to break them down.

Spain will have learned from their first match and should still qualify.

Their little right-winger needs to be less predictable and learn that there is more than one way to skin a … defender.
