Chabal sold then runs like a drain.
What to we make of Kingsfort next???
The soft ground this year has meant that the best 2yr old’s were not seen in the National especially for Ballydoyle.
So has the Bolger/Prendergast operations conned Shiekh Mo into believing they bought something of potential but now when scratched below the surface turned out to be falling apart.
SHODDY GOOD’S IMO
October 18, 2009 at 03:05 #254020Well if Godolphin continue to buy up every single two year old not owned by Magnier/Tabor/K Abdullah/Cheveley Park they may get a good one sooner or later….

Personally I hate their approach and have no sympathy for them……but I dont suppose they will be losing any sleep over my opinion!!

two ran in the National stakes, got excited again… :@October 18, 2009 at 04:45 #254028Jim Bolger is in awful form at the moment. Not a surprise Chabal ran poorly, very few from the stable have run well recently.
Chabal could still be a top three year old. Just look at last years race. Rip Van Winkle and Delegator, amongst others.Value Is EverythingOctober 18, 2009 at 09:17 #254038

I’m away ahead of you on this and already said If they hadn’t sold Kingsfort there would have been 2 fools instead of one,,,,,,the one that offered the money and the one that didn’t take it.
The same applies to Chabal who I didn’t know had been sold until now.
I thought that was an awful race by classic standards and if either them place in the 2000 Guineas or the Derby I’ll be amazed.
Beethoven isn’t a soft ground horse and him winning yesterday isn’t any sort of form boost to Kingsfort and while their was bundles of money for Steinbeck it was mainly put on EW which makes me think AOB doesn’t regard him as highly as once thought. (Was it a case of I think he’ll go close lads but back him ew just in case?) Most likely by the looks of things.

If your looking for a classic winner I doubt if you’ll find one above that line no matter who owns them
