According to reports on Talksport Shane Kelly faces three counts of corruption in relation to his relationship with a professional punter.
Charges (which he denies) brought by HRA and are not linked to the City of London Police enquiry
November 24, 2006 at 09:10 #32018More pleasing news.
November 24, 2006 at 10:07 #32019Yes it is front page in the post. I see he has retained Mac Neice as his solicitor and Kelsey-Fry(also retained by Fallon) as his brief. He wont get much change out of K100 for those two, wonder how he affords it?
November 24, 2006 at 10:13 #32020Another two names will come out soon. Papers served today.
November 24, 2006 at 10:18 #32021bc,
surely more a case of can he afford not to ?
plus, tax relief would take £100k down to £60k.
best regards
wit
November 24, 2006 at 10:20 #32022Interesting to see if the somewhat hysterical "HE IS INNOCENT! HES A GREAT JOCKEY! MY HERO!" threads will be replicated for Shane kelly
November 24, 2006 at 10:23 #32023Shane’s nobody’s hero ~ unless you’re one of his alleged punters.
November 24, 2006 at 11:36 #32024Wallace three other jockeys and a trainer are named in todays Sun
November 24, 2006 at 12:10 #32025Hello,
I think the Legal fees will be paid for by "The Guiding Mind", indiscreetly of course
The fraud will be probably operating as a cell structure. Many individuals involved in various ways, but interconnected.
They will not want one of the members to go down. Could bring to the surface all sorts of problems, especially if convicted, Shane turns Queens Evidence
regards,
doyley
November 24, 2006 at 13:43 #32026Can jockeys use,as defence,"just following instructions"?
November 24, 2006 at 14:04 #32027Hello Nor,
A certain group of people tried that tact at a place called Nuremburg, without a great deal of success!!
regards,
doyley
November 24, 2006 at 15:27 #32028Cheers for that doyley but why is it the masters get away with it whilst the underlings take the rap?
November 24, 2006 at 15:30 #32029Other’s charged by the HRA are David Nolan, Fran Ferris and Josh Byrne and trainer Phil McEntee
November 24, 2006 at 15:43 #32030I’m shocked to hear Fran Ferris’s name in that list; such a lovely little fella :o
November 24, 2006 at 16:36 #32031I know another two jockeys were named today but yet another two are also in the frame as well as a bookmaker employee from a big firm.
November 24, 2006 at 16:49 #32032I wonder how many jockeys who cheat do so without the owner/trainer’s knowledge?
November 24, 2006 at 17:18 #32033as well as a bookmaker employee from a big firm.
Anyone heard from TDK today???
