November 20, 2022 at 07:54 #1623929“and keeping four televisions running constantly (respectively tuned to BBC1, BBC2 and ITV, all with the sound turned down)”
Sounds like someone who posts on here

Blackbeard to conquer the World

————————-
We’re singing from the same hymn sheet now HDLG.
An interesting character, smart and totally ruthless yet cool as
a cucumber. A lot ofpeople would like, and have tried, to have him
permenantly removed from the scene. He’s a bit like a cat with nine
lives in that respect. However he has apparently turned his life
around and has started a company dedicated to working with
offenders and reoffenders, and is an author (or co-author) . It’s the
age old question, can a leopard change its spots ?November 26, 2022 at 05:13 #1624519Does he not still own some security businesses ….
November 26, 2022 at 18:45 #1624749I believe he is/was a “consultant” to a number of companies, but I’m
well out the way now so I don’t know. He did start up a security company
a good while back, I know there was a feud over the area concerned when he
was on trial for the murder of the “Big Man’s” son. He walked from that
one but the last I heard was got 10 years, reduced to 7, down the smoke
for possession of guns and explosives. That was a while ago and since then
he claims to have turned over a new leaf. I don’t know, and don’t want to know.I moved to Dunoon 5 or 6 years ago, it was the best move I ever made.
Ignorance is bliss as far as I’m concerned.November 26, 2022 at 22:08 #1624768What ever he,s doing it allows him a large house in a nice part of the city , Dunoon certainly is a bit more tranquil
November 26, 2022 at 23:29 #1624777I was lucky enough to sniff out a serial killer. I am a suspicious person with good instincts and a good sense of what’s not quite right. It could be a tic or an over enthusiasm to please – if there is a tell – just remember this – you may not have much time.
November 27, 2022 at 06:51 #1624791Gamble this serial killer …. Do you see him when you look in the mirror ?
November 27, 2022 at 10:26 #1624818An interesting question indeed Ground. It would be getting on for forty years ago now and while I can remember the various delights which Corsica presented in those unblemished times – which included some wild camping near the the sea, I have little memory of the exact features – but do remember the over zealousness to please and the ingratiating smile in it’s sun browned makeup. 40 – 50ish – medium height and build and blond hair. I could pick the face out in a parade but only with about 60% accuracy. Yes I have a clearer picture now.
I may come back to this post after my tea.November 27, 2022 at 12:22 #1624832While it is all jollity on the other side of the house – I am over the hill and talking about death. Such is the variety of thought. I must ‘say’ it is good to be alive even in these blemished times
I have been almost two hours in replying and I went back to bed with my tea, and rose and showered about half an hour ago – so why the delay ? There is a logical reason and try to work out in your heads why that might be as I continue on the next post and I will reveal it.
November 27, 2022 at 12:29 #1624835Gamble I get a the feeling I’ve seen your photofit on crimewatch uk …. A transit van , shotgun and a air of violence was the way to go in the 70s/80s , the fact you have spent time hiding sorry sunning in Corsica seals the deal ….
November 27, 2022 at 12:48 #1624837Well my mobile battery was down to 8% and I often get carried away with my prose so the delay was essentially a recharge.
Am I a serial killer and revisiting the scene of the crime ? A macabre thought and what Ground was getting at in his mirror question. Not so absurd, not so fantastical but the answer is No.
It is strange, whilst back in bed I replayed the event over in my head. I saw the whole scene like a video and in colour and I hit on something very significant which I may not have overlooked before but had possibly suppressed and not paid enough attention to.
The killer invited tourists out on a small boat and took them to a small unseen cove, protected from view where he dispatched them with a hammer.
Whether he weighted the bodies or they drifted out to sea I am unaware.
My girlfriend and I approached this rundown bar with the idea of having a refreshing drink🍺🍺. It was located by the sea.
I have written about what happened in the bar before somewhere in this house. The important revelation I came to in bed I will not reveal but only want to say – I should have weighted it more at the time. I realise now I possibly should have gone to the police – I now suspect he gave away much more to us than the other poor unfortunates. My girlfriend and I were both suspicious but it was only a feeling we both had. Were there missing tourists at that time ?Time for a late breakfast.
November 27, 2022 at 15:51 #1624879A plausible theory Ground, albeit coming from a man who seems interested in method and carries a username; He Didn’t like Ground, which is disturbing in itself – so I am rerouting the spotlight on you 🤔
Anyway I have come up against a brick wall in this case – In Corsica, the biggest Murder capital in Europe – I cannot find any trace of the eight bodies !November 27, 2022 at 16:03 #1624882Dna sadly stopped the act of getting away with it …. Now you just have to smile and keep the voices at bay , like Ian I only interact when I need to … If you place the spotlight on me in afraid I’ll have to shoot it out
November 27, 2022 at 16:35 #1624887Shoot it out
Razer tried that on Southend Pier eighteen years ago with devastating consequences for him. I came weaponised to the hilt and won on a technical knockout – he was sleeping it off and failed to show. I claimed victory and he literally went mad 😡
I did know about Ian’s general non engagement but was unaware of yours – it doesn’t matter to me – I am click proof and come on here to spray thoughts – usually gamble’s, sometimes my own. I do sometimes engage with others and can enjoy that but it is not what I do generally. It’s just a case of letting it out, or putting some gloss or glue on someone’s point of view. I always read people’s posts as their last so there is less disappointment if they vanish.
I have a mild addiction to coffee ( I drink one a day ) a strong addiction to my morning tea ( black ) and a strong addiction to alcohol which I can control. I would say I am at my most vulnerable on a Saturday night with the latter. I have a very strong addiction to this little neck of the woods. I usually take a few months break in the cold months – however much I have tried this year I have been weak. It may keep me sane – it may keep me insane – but it is a choice and I rather like that.
November 27, 2022 at 17:40 #1624894A boat murder in 1978 was the nearest match I have found.
[The eight boat murders in Corsica were reported on the front page of an English newspaper. Only about three inches long and no picture.]
‘The last contact we had came in the form of a letter from Peta, dated June 28, 1978, which explained how they had agreed to sail down the Caribbean coastline from Belize to Honduras with an American sailor called Silas Duane Boston.
With his weather-beaten face, she wrote, Boston was an engaging character with a devil-may-care attitude, small, piercing blue eyes and a large tattoo of a mermaid on his left forearm. What he lacked in conventional good looks, he made up for in megawatt charm. It seemed he had been married no fewer than five times and had driven to Belize from his home in Sacramento, California, with his two sons, 13-year-old Vince and Russell, 12.
There he had bought a 32ft wooden sailing boat, the Justin B, which he used to ferry tourists to the palm-fringed Belizean islands for what he described as a ‘Robinson Crusoe’ experience, mooring at white sandy beaches and spearing fish for supper. Now, explained the letter, he had offered Chris and Peta the chance to sail 150 miles with him and his boys down the coast to Honduras for $500 (about £1,500 in today’s money). For the young couple, it seemed too good an opportunity to miss.
As the summer wore on we heard nothing else. That last letter was all we had to go on, and my father was growing increasingly desperate for information. On September 22, 1977, he wrote to the harbour master in Belize City asking for records of the Justin B. It was weeks later before he finally got a reply’ …
He had NO LICENCE to take people on trips and was unbeknown to the couple fleeing a rape charge.
