Fred West was a scumbag and a nobody. I can rate and assess
people like that up to a point. I had a misplaced youthful respect for Fred Dinenage and he was sat on his own on a November the fifth bonfire night party I attended with friends – he was alone with his son. I was tempted to approach him as a nicety, but something in my head said no. He may have been close friends with Roger Moore but the man is a thinly disguised ghoul. Slightly worse is the red bespectacled Geoffrey Mansell who works with him now who makes a molehill out of a murder and upped his ante by MURDERS BY THE SEA.

Just finished reading a book on Nielson , West was well below average intelligence and should have been caught well before he was , the police and social service had plenty evidence , Bundy is the one that I fail to understand , he was above average intelligence , good looking and popular , what drove him to do what he did , despite what he did he even had groupies

Ted bundy was a character for sure

He used to bang the dead bodies and keep the heads on a shelf

Not sure what came first. Did he remover the heads before sex or after? And is it technically still rape if it’s a decapitated body?

I’ve been known to murder a bowl of cereal in my time – does that count, gamble?

Bundy was all about control , he was so successful because of his good looks and the fake successful career he created for himself ….he was also good at escaping , even when convicted some of the people around he wouldn’t believe he was capable of such things ….. that’s a pretty good disguise to go about doing as you please

    He kept the heads though.

. This quote from Clivexx had me thinking of this clip.

It’s not a nice subject, gamble – we need fewer threads about violence and more threads about biscuits.

I’m in favour of threads about the pandemic plus the political quagmire and serial killers. The only one that’s a bit light on deaths is serial killers.

I actually spend my spare time caring for a man who is a dead ringer for John Reginald Halliday Chritie.

It was Nielsen who collected heads in his freezer. The man I care for who looks like Christie once worked at Nielsen’s office desk. He told me that a strange mad woman used to come into the dole office every six months and shout ” You all know Dennis Nielsen worked here”. I heard that Nielsen, when he worked there, bought a cheese and tomato sandwich every day from the Turkish sandwich shop over the road. Surprisingly not bacon . I went there one day and asked about Nielsen and the proprietor said to me –

“Do you know he’s was the nicest guy with very good manners ”

My questioning stopped there and I ordered a bacon sandwich going for the brown sauce rather than the ketchup!

Well Purwell I do change the place I live quite often. I feel safer two floors up in a soundproofed apartment preferably in a buzzy area with movers and shakers nearby and parks and grime. I often live in houses but feel lest connected and more Alonso. I have watched Dial M for murder until the cows come home and always check the french windows. In flats everyone avoids everyone else. If I go and there is someone also venturing out on another floor you will hear the door shut. They don’t want to meet me or anyone else on the stairs. People want to be on their own – they don’t even want to say HALLO…

Yeah pap – but whether Lionel can cleanse this thread of the likes of Ted Bundy is difficult to assess. It’s worth a throw of the dice though.
More about power than control I would have thought, although they are the same words really. I hate serial killers and have been close and was nearly dispatched by one on a Corsica holiday. I did some awful things to insects when I was a child so I can’t distance myself totally from Ted Bundy or the guy who wanted to hammer me.Killing the odd insect may hopefully not progress. So far in my life I have a clean sheet and cannot countenounce playing God. Sheep don’t usually kill.

On balance although Putin is a killer of the highest order at least you know where you are with him – Ted Bundy could be the bloke you play darts with down the Dog ‘n Duck.
**** Em both but burn Bundy in acid !

That’s the problem, you never really know someone, even when you think you do.
I have found this out from simple social settings, up to the real tomato. I
think I may have mentioned this before, but I’ve had occasion to spend quite
a few hours with a psychopath, who in any other setting would have come accross
as a very smart decent bloke who you might have befriended in a pub.

Maybe it’s given me a mind to be suspicious of everyone. It would be handy if they
had it stamped on their forehead, psycho, paedo, rapist or whatever but life’s
never that simple. If you’re not ahead of the game, you’ll miss it.

Sheesh, I sound like the telly 50 (or was it 60) odd years ago at midnight when it
went off. We wish you all a good night, and especially if you are alone,
remember to lock all your doors and windows

Sweet dreams all, and have two extra hobnobs Ian :rose:
