Krypton I was wondering if you posted a list of the rules, I know what
Jac’s old rules were, in particular when a nap is not nominated, but
I’ve gone back a year and I don’t think they are mentioned. It might
have been way before that.Did you just keep the same rules as Jack,
apart from when you need your horses to be in by or were there other
changes.

Hi Graham, I’ll try and dig up the rules on the weekend. But I’m pretty sure if no NAP is nominated your top horse is designated as such. If a NAP doesn’t run, the first reserve (or first valid reserve) takes the NAP slot instead.

The ever-helpful Chezza has gone right back and obtained a copy of the ancient original rules written in Latin.

Chezza has translated the script which reads: “And verily should no nap be nominated – and zero naps be the status of the posting – so it shall come to pass that the first, the original, and neither the middle, nor concluding, selections shall be the holy nap, even if the name of the first horse is misspelt by a large Scottish person one would not care to tangle with. However, there is a penalty and for the nap to stand the napster has but 28 days to send Chezza a large packet of chocolate hob-nobs in the post. Here endeth the lesson.”
