    Which probably won’t be this coming Monday (IE 29th of May) as it’s a BANK HOLIDAY :wacko:

    Yes sadly I do work Bank Holiday Monday Neil as I work in an office within a Garden Centre but Nathan has kindly offered to do the update this weekend :good:

    My laptop works ok at my work but not at home and my mobile also, but at home only when WiFi turned off…although strangely on my mobile I can log into TRF using the home WiFi but then not allowed to post a comment :wacko: Why??

    Are there any whizz kids out there that can suss out whats going on? My ISP is not the problem all checked out but when try to log in on home computer get word press error message that my request cannot be accepted and sends me back to log in. Please PM me if you have any solutions I can access my messages on mobile (WiFi off)

    At least I have a porthole into the Forum and Monday’s will be a good day to post and update the compy…this all happened about 3 weeks ago now virtually overnight so no idea why, hopefully normal service will be restored soon..think both yourself and Bob have experienced problems in the past Neil so will keep hoping..Jac :rose:

    I’m sure the tech team at Racing Forum will sort you out, like they did for me, Jac. It may take them a few weeks though :good:

    I’ve got exactly the same problem as you Jac, tried everything but my Virgin Media broadband/wi-fi won’t let me log-in, I get the same word press message as you and it all started when I tried to connect using my Kindle Fire …..I’ve had to buy a Vodafone mobile wi-fi hub and top up the data every 90 days, it’s quite handy cos I can pop in my pocket and use it when I’m on my tablet when I’m away from home

    I recently acquired a Kindle Fire Bob do you think it was one device too many? We have Talk Talk who are paranoid about security since being hacked last year.
    Will look into getting the wifi hub or one other avenue to try…my son said he may find me a proxy browser to log into tonight so waiting for him to finish work.
    Do you still have your Kindle Bob? can’t believe you experienced this too but relieved that I’m not going nuts..LOL :wacko:
    Thanks for your post much appreciated and sorry to hear you still have issues with Virgin Media..Jac :rose:

    Great news Jac…………. :good: :good:

    Yes a great relief to find a solution Nathan and the problem does still exist as detailed above but my son tried logging me into TRF on my computer using a free proxy server/browser and it worked..I just have to go into Firefox or Goggle Chrome and then open up my proxy server/browser who then allows me access to TRF site to login and to post.

    This might be helpful to anyone else who encounters similar problems trying to access The Forum, I’ve been hours on the phone to Talk Talk and David Cormack has been very helpful so big thank you to him… :good:

    Bob…not sure if this will help you as you seem to have found a solution that works well, but worth bearing in mind if any similar problems arise.
    If you need to know more just PM me. :mail:

    Anyway on with the Competition and looking forward to The Derby and Royal Ascot now…sorry I’ve taken up so much space with this but with security gone mad it may help save someone a lot of headaches if it happens to them..

    You could change to OpenDNS to see if this could help:

    Thank you Matron I’ll keep that one as a standby if you don’t mind just in case but the proxy browser that my son Chris found me is working well it’s called Hidester.

    Just a relief that I can get back on properly to keep this compy up and running couldn’t have done it without Nathan’ s help.

    While your here Matron why not join us? :mail:

    Everyone has been more tban supportive, really appreciated.

    Problems solved. :)

    Nice One Jac ……I’m pretty sure my problem did stem from using my Kindle fire, I used my desktop and tablet that same morning through my home Virgin Media to log in with no problem but my tablets battery was running low so I plugged it in to charge it and then used my Kindle Fire 2 minutes later and I could get on the site but couldn’t log in, I got that word press message you got …..but as you say all sorted now and I’m happy to use my Vodafone connection to log in

    @Jac

    Using a “proxy” is fine.

    I have read there have been a few problems with ISP’s blocking some sites so, using Open DNS, Google DNS, etc. should solve the problem and also speed-up your surfing.

    When I get some free time then maybe I will enter some the comps Jac.

    Thanks Bob, there are a few things I can’t use on here with the ‘proxy’ like quotes but all else seems fine.
    I am now making a habit of clearing the History on my Kindle Fire every time I use it, probably not necessary but don’t trust it not to mess up my computer settings again..

    @Matron
    All fine with the ‘proxy’ Matron except unable to use quotes but can live with that, I am able to Edit which is all I need for the competition each week. Thanks again for all your suggestions and look forward to seeing you here as a player in the near future.. :) Jac

    Good to hear problems are being resolved.

    This will be my last post for a while as I leave for a 2 week trip to Japan tomorrow morning returning on Sunday 11th June. If possible could I try and arrange for some selections over for the next 2 Saturdays? If so they would be at Epsom next week: Duke Of Firenze in the Dash, Venice Beach (nap) in the Derby and whoever’s drawn lowest in the last race. There’s a Newmarket meeting on the 10th and if possible I’d just have the SP fav in the first 3 races.

    If that’s unacceptable no worries and here are my selections for tomorrow.

    Chester 15:05 FASTNET TEMPEST
    Goodwood 15:45 DESERT ENCOUNTER (nap)
    Haydock 16:05 WASHINGTON DC

    Reserve, Salisbury 17:45 Mokaatil

    @CharlesOlney
    That’s absolutely fine Charles just in case give me the name of one trainer and one jockey and I’ll pop in a couple of choices for you based on that if you have non runners next week in the Dash or the Derby..also at Newmarket on 10th 1st 3 x races SP favs …can be done in this case :good: ..

    Would you like me to put them into Bob’s 4PP comp for you I would have to put 4 x horses at Newmarket for that one and name them so they may not be favs, just have to take a chance, but I could put you in the 1st 4 x early morning favs as I am off to Newmarket that day..let me know..good luck and have a great trip ..Jac :rose:
