Welcome to Select 3 Horses jump season competition,
which will run through to Grand National Day on Saturday 13th April 2024.The Winner will receive £20 and Best Nap will now be played just for fun.
You can choose your 3 horses to win from any race meeting Jumps or Flat taking part in the UK and Ireland only.
If you would like to add a reserve for each horse chosen that will be fine or you can add your reserves from other meetings.Points will be paid at SP i.e
10/11 – 0.5 points
11/10 – 1.0 point
9/4 – 2 points
11/4 – 2.5 points etc……One horse can be Napped for double points and any Naps priced at 9/4, 11/4 and 100/30 will receive an extra 0.5 points. This applies to Naps only, normal points apply if your horse is not your Nap.
You can also choose a reserve Nap by indicating nb by the side of the horse. If you forget your Nap then the first horse chosen will become the Nap selection. If your Nap is a non-runner then your nb (next best) or first reserve becomes your Nap. In the event of a disqualification first past the post will be paid as well as the new winner and in the event of a dead heat both horses will be paid out at full SP.
Horses can be entered at any time of the day, there is no deadline.

Just post your 3 Horses and you will be added onto the leaderboard .

Good luck to all as we try to find that illusive 100/1 Nap in the Grand National and topple the top scorers who have notched up so many points over the last months. It’s been done before that someone comes from out of the blue to spring a surprise…will it be ▶️YOU?◀️
Next week I will be handing back the reigns to Hot Fuss who has kindly agreed to mark the comp for another Season through to the Flat Season Final on Champions Day at Ascot Saturday 19th October 2024.
Big thanks to Hot Fuss for doing this again. I will be looking forward to spending those few extra hours at the weekend with my family and to studying up the form for the Craven Meeting at ‘my second home’ Newmarket next week. Really excited about all the Classics to come this flat season.
Best of luck finding some big priced winners on Saturday including the Big One.

I want to play with Ayr next weekend and Sandown the one after, but have little interest in the flat so would not be playing in the summer.

The jumps and flat seasons of this competition have always ended on Grand National Day at Aintree and Champions Day at Ascot in October, it’s been that way from the day this competition started about 20 years ago when it came across to TRF from Yahoo with its original creator Des, myself and several other players who are still with us.I don’t think I could change that format now, it works so well but there really is no divide between flat and jumps unless you wish to make it. We all enjoy a competitive and fun compy and I always put in selections for the jumps season even though my real love is for the flat, just love bringing everyone together week after week for a bit of light relief.
Do hope you decide to continue and play for the whole year but of course the choice is yours. Jac
